Stoke City were in the group of teams who enquired about centre-back Nectar Triantis before he made a £275,000 switch to Sunderland, according to reports from Australia.

Triantis, aged 20, has been attracting scouts to the Central Coast Mariners and apparently there were discussions via Zoom with Crystal Palace as well as interest from clubs in Germany, Denmark, Greece and Norway.

He has gone to the Stadium of Light on a permanent deal, though, and, currently in France with Australia under-23s for the Maurice Revello Tournament, he will soon join up with his new teammates in Wearside for pre-season.

His agent, Buddy Farah, told ftbl.com.au: "There is no doubt that Nectar has a big future ahead, and I'm sure that the name Triantis will be spoken about for years to come.
He deserves this move and despite a number of other serious options this ticked a lot of boxes. Sunderland A.F.C. have been very professional in the process and have a very good head coach in Tony Mowbray, who is a former centre half."

Timur Tuterov. Signed him back in April, and has just turned 18:

That’s after it emerged on Thursday afternoon that the Black Cats had seemingly reached an agreement with Ukrainian club Kolos over a deal to bring 17-year-old forward Timur Tuterov to Wearside.

Tuterov, nicknamed “Colossus”, is expected to link up with Sunderland’s youth teams should the deal go through after breaking through at Kolos aged 15. Kolos announced the transfer on their website after which The Echo contacted Sunderland AFC for confirmation of the deal.

Colossus, thats a proper nickname. I've decided he will be world class.

Thanks at least I am not going Mad lol

I would not be against Dack at all. On a free.

We need to replace Amads goals in the team, and we won't spend a lot. When Dack is fit and loved he scores goals. I fancy Mowbray to get the best out of him. Represents good value in my opinion.

Concern from me this season. Whilst I'm as ambitious at the next person, we do have to remember that it's our 2nd season in the league. if we end up mod table I'll be disappointed but if still see us as making progress as long as we're still improving the infrastructure and making signing

If we end up mid table, the manager will be hiked before October. They want the premier league in the next 2 years, so they need to get the ball going now
