    Fantastic deal for 35m.

Means we may now have the funds to go for thuram and Kone … let’s make it happen

    35 mil upfront yeah?

The add ons are on the never never. When the get triggered we build it in to that years financial report. (i double its after 20 appearances for example, likely qualify for CL, win CL, win league or whatever)

If we are only down 35mil I can see us selling Kelleher to offset that spend.

That’s the general reports surfacing. Prob some very achievable add ons like CL qualification as you say then maybe if win a trophy etc.

Theres a massive difference between buying a ready made Macca who can play in the prem already and buying a 22 year old from france who's got a massive step up in intensity to make or a 22 year old playing in germany.

One mgmt. do a konate but in fairness to konate he was "eased in"

I think like others that its likely a situation of one of these guys rather than both.

Don’t know much about kone. Sounds like Thuram is more box to box? Is kone more a fab replacement?

    Fab / Kone / Bajcetic
    Hendo / Thuram / Elliott
    Mac / Thiago / Jones

9 for 3 roles seems about right when think Bajcetic is still young. Elliott is young and learning that role. Thiago is injured prone and fab and Hendo are senior approaching their decline.

more likely that Mac replaces Hendo and Thuram on left as pretty much everything i've seen has him on that side of pitch .

    I think personally

Thruam is a big unit who plays left side but more of a no 6 type for me. He would be "fabinho"

Macallister as you say could well be the henderson role as a counter pressing machine.

LCM is hard to say. Jones, bajcetic, thaigo, even henderson. It would be for me more likely to be Kone's position as a more advanced unit.

    IF its 433.

If we play 3223 or whatever the hell it is when trent wanders to no 6 and puts out his deck chair, then you are wide open to suggestions what to do and neither kone nor thuam make sense except to replace fabinho.

The box midfield put spaces between the back 3 to be filled by the no 6 type players. (konate sticks at rb in transition and trent dropped to CB.

The two advanced CMS are in effect false 10s. not really 8s they are miles up the park and for me that doesn't suit MacAllister really. It could be elliott or jones plus macallister there and then fill inthe front 3 as you like

    .....................Alisson
    Konate........... vvd............ Robertson
    ............Trent........Thuram
    ........Macallister.....Jones.
    Salah..............Gakpo.........Diaz

You've then got jota, nunez, elliott, henderson, fabinho, tsimikas on the bench.

The thing is when i write this and look at how injury prone the cbs are matip and gomez start to freak me out more than not buying two more CMs.

By all means get a Thuram id price is right but we need to then think what we are doing with this system before buying again.

I like how he said he wanted to improve as a player and as a human being. Klopp knows how to pick them <ok>

The good thing is that Thuram and Mac are versatile, so they can play in multiple positions and roles. Kone is a more one dimensional but is very good at it.

I really want all of them

Chelsea made 11th hour efforts to hijack Alexis Mac Allister from Liverpool, but the player's heart was set to play for Liverpool .
