Yeh there’s a massive debate over AI use in the art world. I have mixed feelings about it tbh. Overall it’s a new genre created at the keyboard versus the craftsmanship and creation from the hands and materials of an artist. I wonder if there will end up with an asterisk for AI created art versus the artist. Of course currently it is mostly digital but I’m sure there will come the time of robot AI art too.

On the video… I didn’t like it. Quality looked poor (but could just as easily be the format). But it was way too busy and lacked narrative to the song for me. Has to be tried though. You can’t hold back technology or innovation just as much as you can’t hold back the sea and the tides. But it looks like it has a lonnnngggg way to go to be viable on video from that example.

Now when does the first AI band come along with their EP? Or the first AI drummer to provide a beat to a song? How will that go down? Drummer to guitarist to vocalist AI? Orchestra? Soundtrack to a movie?
All the same principles will apply.

There's already AI bands, mostly Korean and Japanese at the moment, although listening to some of the **** that floats around on Radio 1 (when I hear it, which is rarely) AI stuff can hardly be any worse! But, no matter what AI does, you'll never beat the live experience of a band in my opinion

Can anyone tell me why it’s such a sin to cover this song? I recall a similar hullabaloo when Paul Young did it back in 1683. Yeah, it’s a good song, but not the best. Is it simply because Curtis killed himself? Are we not allowed to cover Nirvana songs or remake Supermarket Sweep as well?
It will be Bradley Walsh's supermarket sweep
