Strange, as I look forward to Chippy remembering and saying his own name after he has smelt the barmaid's apron.
Oh no is there a holier than thou brigade on here And here’s me thinking the only group who gets upset is the LGBQ+HPDQWACV lot
Should we be considering getting a solid CB option or are we happy with Schar and Botman as our two first choice CB's? Schar is a good option, but we could do better now?
Said it the other day - Schar is another in this category for me of: "do we sell while their stock is high". Wilson, Almiron, Murphy, Schar and Burn are all in that list for me, maybe a few others but I don't think players like ASM value will be inflated atm where as those have all had good seasons and we may not get the chance to cash in on them in the future - not saying I would BUT if you could get decent money for them would you take it to reinvest in the squad? Personally again for me Schar is a great option so I'd keep him but I'd be looking at another CB to partner Botman with Schar and Burn as back up - that would be insane. Would Schar be happy to play 3rd choice? If we want to compete on multiple fronts we need 22 very good to world class players, currently we have 8-12
The problem is our squad is thin for a european team. We really shouldn't be selling these sorts of players. The only player I'd consider selling is ASM, but even then it's only worth it if we get maybe 15-20m.
Szoboszlai just scored a pen to make it 1-3 to Leipzig against Bayern, they'll probably get Champions League too now which will make him harder to sign. Nkunku looks like he'll be a good signing for Chelsea next year too.
£15-20m is too low. We couldn't replace him for that and with an injury free run he's worth way more.
He's never had a good run without injuries or good form though. He either gets injured after 2-3 good games or he has runs of erratic games he just doesn't deliver.
Tottenham were considering bidding over £40millon for him only a few months ago, according to multiple reports.
