He’s played 5 times in a half-season loan. I’d take him on another loan for a full-season but that’s about it.
What do you mean out of touch? It would be out of touch for me to say it would be easy to find one who can score 20 a season. Me saying finding a striker who runs the channels and presses is? Bollocks. We have someone else at the club who can play the striker role how Connolly does.
That would be my concern. If he can consistently hit his stride without disappearing for months then I'd have no issue with signing Connolly, but it's an if.
His odd dress sense has got very little to do with what he can do on a Football pitch wearing black and amber? I liked the look of him in his albeit brief run of games,he looked like the missing link to me anyway. 'If' he is feigning injury(as some seem to be surmising),then Rosenior will get rid...Simple.
Not sure about him feigning anything, but he has a history of his head not being in the right place and it affecting his football and there has been some speculation that there might have been a recurrence of that, and with the availability issues we've had this season do we want to take another risk on another perpetual sicknote? Just got to trust the club to make the right call on it though as they're closest to the situation.
Not sure why you're bothered taking him on a loan or signing him. The money isn't coming out of your personal bank account. The bailiffs won't be round to your house if he turns out to be a duffer and we can't get our money back on him.
So if we sign a player for a substantial outlay, turns out duff and we can't get our money back doesn't the entire club suffer?
Shows a complete lack of respect to go to an awards ceremony dressed like that IMO. Like the odd tramp that will turn up to a wedding reception in a tracksuit. I would have told him to go home and change if I was the manager.
All this speculation about Connolly is just that, speculation, as far as I saw when he was on the pitch he added something to us, he then got an injury which has been frustrating. Let's not allow speculation to become the truth until there's facts to prove it. For what it's worth if his time on the pitch is anything to go by I think he had a great attitude and literally gave defences headaches they'd not previously had playing against us.
It's not just the club accountant that misses out on **** business. It's like saying I'm not chancellor so aren't affected when the country's in recession and we're all skint.
I was obviously mistaken believing this thread was about fantasy football. Apparently it's about fantasy bookkeeping.
It's actually a summer transfer thread. Finances are an aspect of transfers. Nothing more, nothing less.
