i would have said no to barnes back in september but i saw burnley quite a few times and i think he's the sort of player we have lacked this season unless he demands crazy wages which i honestly don't think he will, he really would be an astute signing, the experience alone, a regular key part of a team that gained over 100 points just this season he doesn't have he's not meant to be and out and out scorer, but he's fantastic at holding the ball up and linking play, getting the ball from the midfield into attacking areas he's everything oscar is not outside of the box i'm not sure signing connolly is nonexclusive to signing barnes either
As if anyone would turn down Barnes, a player who has spent 7 of the last 9 seasons as a regular in the premier league, and also as Brady just said a key player in a squad that just pissed the division with 100+ points. Can’t think of a better signing, particularly on a free. Would be a huge signing for us.
Don't see him getting in consistently when we have a full squad including strikers. I may be wrong, but that's usually the next stage in a kids development. No doubting he's a prospect but still think he needs to develop physically a bit more to be established in a playoff challenging side.
