Lavia looks quality on the ball considering his age but he seems a bit one paced which is probably why Guardiola let him leave City because he struggles to cover the defence like a good athletic DM should, he's more of a deep-lying quarterback like a Shelvey than a rapid harrying style Makelele/Kante DM that can truly protect the back four.I'd be tempted to go for Lavia from Saints. Rookie season in the league and has performed pretty well. Nice and young for Eddie to mould as well
I'd rather Southampton's other young talent Alcaraz who's shown he's good at breaking forward and getting goals in a poor team and plays with a feisty demeanor which will suit our style of play better than Lavia who's more of a laid-back player.
I can also picture young Forest RW Brennan Johnson galloping forward in black & white next season if the price is right as he looks like he'll suit Eddie's system perfectly.
