According to an authoritative figure on this site, they weren't 'Cracked' or "Broken" .

"there's no way he would be playing if they were broken.... "

Apparently.

I know it's true cos I was authoritatively ridiculed for suggesting as much...

Well if they aren't, where's the haemotoma come from?

Tbf I was told bruised by more people then the 1 who told me broken, but the person who told me they where broken should definitely know haha

speaking of danny dyer, or, to be more accurate, his daughter, anyone catch the trailer for a new show the pair of them are doing?

daughter, on the topic of jesus, approx: "he had lovely hair though, didn't he?"

So, that’s a wrap! Sadly, the end of another good season that’s flown by. I for one, thought that was a decent, entertaining game, bearing in mind both teams nothing to play for, end to end, usual issues lack of quality in final third, 14th clean sheet of the season, ending 2022/23 with one defeat in nine. A packed away support end, a credit to City, we heard you all loud & proud. Safe journey back home to all.

Thanks to all you guys & girls for your company over the season, I’d like to say you’ve been good company, but .....
you’ve been brilliant! Also, I thought quite sad to hear Burnsy saying, possibly, his good byes. Love him or loathe him, he’s a great advocate of Hull City, hoping some sense prevails.

Have a great Summer to one and all, and then regroup for August to smash the new championship season. UTT.
Great season tigress. I loved the help from acun to get to away games. I managed 12 games which about the most since i was in my 20's a long time ago on brucies coaches. Thanks to all for all the posts to keep us all entertained. Im sure the summer transfer thread will take control soon. Happy sumner everyone

*smart.

Bit sick of this board turning into a retro 1970s jezza Kyle footie special.

It was never part of my 'gib'.

Old ****s are just egging on the youngens cos it takes all half time to drain their prostates these days let alone get a pint.

It's sad really.

Obvs haven't queued for the pisser at the likes of Blackpool or Rotherham recently, no?
I have no intention of queueing for the pisser at half time at a football ground ever again. I've no wish whatsoever to see prostate draining, it's best left to a doctor and done in private. That is all.

Sensible post. At least you're honest about it.

Quite suite chazz or Ben will call you a chancer though if 'you don't even go'.

But then like everything Syd says 6k miles away when he's on an unfounded negativity trip....

... Go figure.

This really doesn't get said enough. I always use the example of us in our previous promotion years where we didn't have a team full of stars but had success with players who worked their way up the table with us. And as you say, Luton (as well as Millwall and others) are a great example that you really obviously don't have to buy an entire team of "top 6 players" whatever they actually are, to get into the top 6.

It shows that it's not just quality that does it. Most of the lads have more than a seasons worth of appearances together, in some cases more than two. You look at Luton, the spine of their squad was signed two or three seasons ago. They didn't have a player playing today that can pass a ball like Tufan or Seri, or has the technique of Traore, but they've lost just once in twenty games.

They've added to their team over a number of seasons to slowly build a better side, they didn't just buy a load of stars and walk up the table in a season (not that they have the money to). Since being promoted from League One, they've finished 19th, 12th, 6th and 3rd. If that doesn't show the importance of patience and building a team, I don't know what to point to as a better example.

Depends what you call sad.

I'm not saying don't regale us with tales of Stanley knives, allotments, coins, bearings, washers etc but please understand it bears no relation to the majority experience folk attend football for in today's world.

Just do it on your own fadingly testosterone-fuelled, gammon headed thread of your own?

Seems a reasonable request..

As far as the game went I quite enjoyed it, I thought we played some good football at times, and for me watching us try to pass through their lines is far more entertaining than the big boot up the middle, which means probably 70% of the time you give away the ball to the opposition and it comes straight back to you.

Yes, we need to turn that method into more goal scoring opportunities, but with 2 or 3 good additions I am sure that will come.

Alfie Jones was the stand-out for me, I thought he has excellent, calm on the ball and reads the game much better now. Simon's did okay whilst on, but I thought we look more threatening when Seri came on. Traore is a quality player and I am hopeful he will really shine next season. Good to hear they have offered AJ an improved contract, fully deserved.

Good to hear Docherty has been given another year, he certainly has improved under Liam, he is more controlled in his play and had a good game.

Both Greaves and Coyle had good games, and Vaughan had some good moments, he will get better the stronger he becomes.

Well, another season is over, but I am happy with a mid-table finish, and if we can turn draws into wins we are surely going to be in and around the playoff place next term. Certain optimistic for next season, let's hope we can bring in 3 or 4 more players that will make the jigsaw complete.

Pretty much agree with John , but we do lack the after the ball has gone whacks , pushes ankle taps that Campbell , Bradley and Lansbury are good at especially yesterday plus the guys on our left having a go at Vaughan , ref was very lenient .
