So, that’s a wrap! Sadly, the end of another good season that’s flown by. I for one, thought that was a decent, entertaining game, bearing in mind both teams nothing to play for, end to end, usual issues lack of quality in final third, 14th clean sheet of the season, ending 2022/23 with one defeat in nine. A packed away support end, a credit to City, we heard you all loud & proud. Safe journey back home to all.

Thanks to all you guys & girls for your company over the season, I’d like to say you’ve been good company, but .....
you’ve been brilliant! Also, I thought quite sad to hear Burnsy saying, possibly, his good byes. Love him or loathe him, he’s a great advocate of Hull City, hoping some sense prevails.

Have a great Summer to one and all, and then regroup for August to smash the new championship season. UTT.

It’s been a pleasure Tigress Enjoy the break and DONT behave yourself… life’s too short. Burnsy was filling up and if nothing changes he’ll be sadly missed. Get ready for the promotion push and we’ll see you in August.

If Callum Jones signed a new three-year deal, I don’t see why Coyle shouldn’t get that.

Put it this way, Luton are in the play-offs and their squad has a lot of players of Coyle’s ability. He’s more than good enough to be backup to Christie.

This really doesn't get said enough. I always use the example of us in our previous promotion years where we didn't have a team full of stars but had success with players who worked their way up the table with us. And as you say, Luton (as well as Millwall and others) are a great example that you really obviously don't have to buy an entire team of "top 6 players" whatever they actually are, to get into the top 6.

It's the old 1+1=3 proof.

Every club & dressing room needs players/personalities like Coyle. I really hope he stays. But I think the biggest question is will he be happy to be with us as a squad player or will he want to go elsewhere to be first choice. We want him to stay, but the balls in his court

That all makes sense. Glad to see we're offering him a contract that recognises his contribution, beyond just taking up the option year, but if he decides to go in favour of a regular place somewhere else then fair enough.

Terrible behaviour

…but I can’t help but be impressed by the lad who is completely disinterested and just focussed on eating his full packet of cookies <laugh>

I thought they were 'brused'?

I did say broken...... But others didn't agree. In their defence though, if I hadn't heard it from who told me, I would have said bruised as I know how awful broken ribs are ( I've broken all mine at the same time before bar 1 and it was absolute hell ) He was having pain killing Injections at half time in some games.

According to an authoritative figure on this site, they weren't 'Cracked' or "Broken" .

"there's no way he would be playing if they were broken.... "

Apparently.

I know it's true cos I was authoritatively ridiculed for suggesting as much...

But if they aren't broken or cracked; where's the haemotoma come from?
