Argghh ... now you respect it, that's even worse <laugh>

How is that worse? Sure you're just making it up as you go along now <laugh>

Respecting something doesn't mean you have to like it, its appreciating or acknowledging something that is commendable or a good approach.

It's not Haaland's fault that there is crazy sums in football.

For the record, despite being a very loyal person who's likely be a one club guy, I'd insist on a release clause over wages if I were a player too just to keep my options open should I need them. It's sensible.

It's one of those things isn't it. You can acknowledge and/or appreciate something without respecting it. As an example, I can acknowledge what Alex Ferguson did as a manager but I don't respect it one bit. His achievements were outstanding. I don't, however, like the man or the way he went about his business so there's no admiration there at all. The same words could be used to explain how you feel about the Haaland contract ( you appreciate the way he went about it) but you threw respect in there. <laugh>

I'm in no way saying you wouldn't be...

... But it's easier to say that as a fan than as a player who may or may not get to play for their favourite team and is having millions of quid offered to them from all different angles.

I'd like to say I wouldn't transfer for money... But being able to afford 20 Rolls Royce a year instead of just 10, might tempt me. Then all my butlers can drive their own Royce instead of just some of them

Easier if it's a top club from start to finish too

Vultures over the relegation threatened clubs, if they go down, who do you pick to save from the championship?

Maddison? JWP?

no and no.

out of Southampton I don't think anyone is good enough. ward prowse is a set piece man, he is a nice enough link player but nowhere near what we need

leeds, there's a lot of issues at that club with coaches and poor defending. it's quite marginal looking at their attacking midfielders

there's nobody at forest imo

Everton. it'd be hilarious to buy someone just to wind them up but no. onana isn't good enough.

that leaves Leicester and really maddison is the only name. Barnes has vanished totally. we have lots of lads like maddison

Can you tell me whats so good about rice? Whats stand out about him? Ive never really watched him closely

did you not see our recent game v west sham?

imo that lad will fall off a cliff and have a short career at the top. he certainly won't be bought for 120mil
