If Rosie didn't fancy him he wouldn't have started the last few games. There's been a few occasions where he's started with Greaves on the bench so I don't think that's true at all.
I doubt it's Manning as he'll have lots of interest. Toffollo has already turned us down and you'd wonder about Bryan's height but I think he's the best out of the 3
Yep it’s unlikely, but I don’t think it’s completely out of our realms of possibility to be targeting players like that anymore. If we can get the likes of Seri, Tufan and Darlow in, I think we can at least be trying.
The fact that 'Toff' turned us down to do 'I'm a Celebrity South Africa' tells us all we need to know about her...
I think we've been trying to find solutions to be better going forwards and Elder is better at that. I think Greaves works better at left-back when Christie plays as it allows Cyrus to push higher up. Coyle is a completely different full-back and I think Elder gives you more balance with Lewie as he's more attacking.
I don't disagree with any of that but I also don't think any of it means that Rosenior 'doesn't really fancy' him.
I think that might have been more to do with Alfie Jones being injured. Which doesn’t say much for Figs does it? I like Elder as a left back and his timing in the tackle is very good, but he can’t cross a ball to save his life when running at pace and if we want to be challenging near the top, we need somebody who can ping a ball into the box in any situation. You almost need a wing back to play at left back nowadays.
I think the fact that we played Greaves out of position at LB is a clear indication that Elder wasn't fancied.
I think it's pretty apparent that was done to fit all three of Greaves, Jones and McLoughlin into the line up than anything else. As said, the fact there's been games recently with Elder starting and Greaves on the bench shows that when he had the option Rosenior was on occasion happy to start Elder. I'm not disagreeing with anyone that we need better than Elder in the starting XI to progress, I just think it's naff to suggest that Elder as a squad option 'wasn't fancied'.
Well you've gone down in my estimation, I have no idea (historical fact) who is or isn't on that ****e. Castro isn't there is he, as he's currently MIA. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
If we wanted him to stay we'd have offered him a new deal, by all accounts we haven't, so he wasn't fancied. We'd be bringing in a starting LB regardless but they've obviously decided against keeping him as the back up option
As above there's plenty of reasons why he isn't continuing on with us beyond just 'not being fancied' but this is all guesswork and a pretty circular discussion. I'll go off the fact he's played a decent chunk of the season and you can go off guessing why he's leaving.
I don't watch the ****e either but I do have access to several Daily newspapers...You being an avid HDM subscriber wouldn't understand what goes on outside the perimeters of the City Boundaries As for Cityzen? Possibly on a Navy Rum binge?
The cheeky gits have shoved the price up to £1.50, a good job Mrs Two usually buys me it. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
We’ve all known and said ever since it was clear Fleming wasn’t making the cut this season that a left back is the absolute #1 priority so this decision is hardly surprising. Elder has struggled to make the team as it is so what’s the point in him staying, doesn’t make sense either for the club or the player because we’ll be paying him to make less than a handful of appearances. He’s a decent player but he’s not what we need now. He would do well at a promoted club.
Sorry I replied to the wrong post. I meant Manning, not Elder is one of the best left-backs in the league.
