Seeing what other people have used to lead to a mindset of “ I”ll try to work and strive for that” - now it’s “ where’s mine ? I’m entitled to that as well , and if it’s not given to me I’ll be unhappy “

What saddens me is the example our children are being given.
We're constantly being lectured on how we should accept people for what they are and not be judgemental ...
... yet almost every TV show is a popularity contest constantly judging people on how they look, sing, cook, bake, behave, etc.
And, with those like BGT or I'm a Celebrity, the 'losers' are held up to ridicule and the public invited to laugh at them. It's obvious that many of those on BGT or X-Factor have mental health issues but they're invited on to be mocked and rejected. The masses look on, howl with laughter and glow with their 'superiority'.
What an example to set before our kids ffs.
