I started listening as a teenager in early 2000s, wasn't listened to by parents etc... but for some reason I did.

My wife grew up with her Dad listening to him non-stop by all accounts. She lost him to suicide a while back so Bob Dylan has a special place to all of them, this is her favourite and probably mine now!

Loved that one as well....i think you posted that on the same night as the "positively 4th Street"....the start of my Dylan journey.
He's being going too long for me to ever buy all of his albums or listen to all of his music but I do like his stuff. I only really know the more commercial songs but I know he is obviously a massive influence on lots of artists. That was why I wanted to see him when he played the arena back in the late 90s I think it was. I was more into oasis and the indie scene but a couple of the lads said 'Bob Dylan is on at the arena' and a few of us quickly said 'aye get me a ticket' and most of them duffed it. Glad I went tbh, only 4 or 5 of us went through.

Probs one of the best decisions you ever made mate. Not many can say they've seen him!

I was introduced to his music by my music teacher in 1966 and have been a massive fan ever since.
I have most of his albums on CD and vinyl, including his 39 studio albums and listen to him most evenings

Not quite as hard-core as that, but on the cars flash drive I will have a Dylan's hour more often than not. I also like to play the Byrds version of Mr Tambourine Man after Dylan original.

Thats why I wanted to go mate. Don't think he's been back tbf.
He had the hat, acoustic guitar and the harmonica, it was class. Seen a few in the arena like Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Stereophonics etc. that were absolutely bouncing but he was quality in a different way. The crowd were in awe of him tbf.

I think we've had this conversation before but I must have been there that night. I can't remember the year but I've seen him twice at the Arena and I think he has only played there twice.
