Think I was at that OCS gig or it might have been at the Empire, feels like a while ago now! Remember one of my pals, who wasn't the most culturally enlightened, and owned 2 CDs, came out of the gig saying he was going to go to loads of gigs after seeing that and was the best thing ever. He felt less exuberant a couple of days later and never did but it was a fun night Loved that time and never sure now if it was the music and the vibe or just not being borderline middle aged ahem
Went to see Girl From The North Country in January. All Dylan songs, including the Hurricane and I want you. Highlight was Frances McNamee (from Durham no less) singing Like a Rolling Stone.
This is a sore spot for me. Had tickets to go tonour local theatre to see this, I no longer live in Sunderland. When it to the night there was no one to watch our kids so we didn't go. Still pissed off about it!
Seen it at the Theatre Royal, not a massive fan of stage musicals but I really enjoyed it and the music was brilliant
