What’s the feeling amongst the boro lot? They confident of going up or gutted about not getting top 2? Just curious as I don’t think I’ve ever met a boro fan :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Graham Hedley is one of only two 'Boro fans that I've ever known . . . . he was a mate of mine (haven't seen him for a few years since he moved back to Billingham). He scored the only goal (free-kick) of the game for 'Boro against Sunderland on Saturday 7.2.81 . . . . bastard :emoticon-0108-speec

Sunderland echo
Who the hell is this arsehole
That means the advantage is now with Sunderland. The task is clear. If Mowbray’s men win their last two games against Watford at the Stadium of Light on Saturday and Preston North End at Deepdale the following weekend, they will almost certainly be promoted
They've changed the rules. Haven't you heard? It's top 6 go up now :emoticon-0140-rofl:

First time we’re in there with no pressure though, the sheer desperation to get out of league one was torture I still see this as a free hit

Me too, and I really mean that. TM has kept the pressure off, partly as a management trick, but partly out of honesty. The aim was to be okay and not looking over our shoulders too much.

But we've got a sniff, so we can just have a go. This is a team I like, and a team I like watching play. And that's all that counts for me in the end; enjoying the match, instead of cursing players who are hiding or malingering.

Lad at work is a Boro fan , was chatting to him the day after they lost the Luton game. He doesn't seem overly confident and said we are the team he is most worried about.

They think that they are going to walk the playoffs and all they need to do is turn up. The Luton result didnt bother them because they made 5 changes and Lutons winner was a dubious decision

Toppa, as we know fine well overconfidence has a tendency to massively backfire.

Mind the penalty was an absolute joke and to be fair both teams were pretty average.

Whatever happens I hope the play off final doesn't hinge on the eyesight of the referee ...

... being beaten is fair enough, being cheated by the likes of West Brom isn't.

I'm not too fussed about going up but I think the players deserve their chance to play at Wembley. And it would be good to go down just for the laugh, especially if the other lot are desperate to go up and think they deserve to.

It's strange being this close to the playoffs without being worried about not making it.

Out of all the teams competing, our players should be the most relaxed having already massively exceeded all fan and club expectations. I think this is showing in our results and those around us. Also, if we somehow get into the playoffs they still have recent memories of the experience and the pressure which puts us at an advantage imo.

Honestly how Tony Mowbray wasn't up for manager of the season is beyond me considering what he has had to deal with.

Arrogance, nice, always works well against a team of grafters like us/cov

although I would make them favourites infairness
