The Allams were winning every month so it petered out due to lack of competition.

If you didnt see this its just remarkable. Sifan Hassan winning the London Marathon yesterday. Her first marathon, but watch what happens during the race. The other factor is, that as a Muslim she was respecting Ramadan and not eating during the day. I think you call it taking the mick'...
