It's been fascinating watching how everyone has adapted to each new blow ...

.. that includes the manager, players and supporters.

Some said the players were up in arms about Neil going and blamed the club ...

... doesn't look like it as the team spirit is incredible.

Cracking thread as always RTB. Thanks again for your fantastic efforts. Early start for me for this one but it's worth it. Down to the bare bones but I'm sure whoever plays will give 100%. That's all we ask. Difficult game given the injuries but win lose or draw its been a hell of a season. Haway lads another away shock against the odds. Keep the faith lads and lasses.

See the young Ukrainian lad was training with the first team yesterday wonder if that’s just an experience thing or if he’s travelling down tomorrow?

At the time, some were absolutely.

However, that doesn't mean to say that Mowbray hasn't made the more cohesive. He had done very well there and the younger players really have come together and formed strong relationships.

Players are fickle though just as we are, Mowbray has highlighted that.

Neil helped give the players a day at Wembley that will be the highlight of some's career and probably all of them so far.

They seem to be over it now.

Thanks again RTB for all your good work on these game defining threads, over this exciting season for SAFC <applause> , I 'd go along with your team but just out of interest will suggest an alternative ie :- Patto , a back 3 of, Hume, O/9, Cirkin with wing backs Gooch and Clarke + a mid field 3 of , Neil, Anderson, Michut, and two up front possibly Joffy and Ba , but with a bench of Bass, Amad, Roberts, Pritch , Ekwah , plus Sonny boys Johnson, and Watson. on call,PS I am a bit undecided about the two up front and leave that to Tony , who may surprise us all <laugh> . OaU.

    <applause> RTB

For some unfathomable reason our away form has been better than our home form this season. So there is hope for a win.

With the number of injuries we have the side picks itself, ie those left standing. I expect a number of very young ones to make an appearance. Pity that Rigg is injured.
09, helicopter on stand-by? sounds like his missus is having a tough time.

Can we win yep...Clarke and Amad of course to score, its time for Pritchard, Roberts and Neil to feature perhaps.

I only quoted half the story - they will have a car ready instead, for a mad dash back to the north-east if she is in labour (that's IF he makes the starting line up)

Going for 2-2.. Think I predicted a Sunderland win prior to Baaths injury. Hoping we can sneak it but still been a tremendous season if not

Cheers RTB for another masterclass preview.

This is another home team trying to do the double and it's definitely not a given by any means, we've done it and we've also failed and I expect Albion to fail tomorrow.

I bet there are some heavy legs out there. Yet another consideration for TM for tomorrow - the bloke has definitely been earning his money.

I'm not usually negative about the Lads, but I just think we've reached the stage where its "the final straw that broke the camels back.

The Huddersfield game looked as if it was one too many in regards to injuries. Looking at the bench and the young players on it looked very weak. TM must have looked behind himself and thought what can I do. Hope I'm wrong and they can find it in themselves to prove me wrong. Wear still in there tho.

Imagine that for your job. Man I would have loved just one season of that, and then a life doing anything else to make ends meat. Just one season. With mates every day, playing football. Special.

Generally footballers are a "love the one you are with" set of characters. They'd probably forgotten the name of the previous manager as we scored the 3rd goal against Rotherham in TM's first game

Last time I went to West Brom there was a gadgie outside the ground selling "These Colours Don't Run" SAFC bulldog t shirts for 2 quid a pop.
Only realised why they were so cheap after I bought one and it had fixtures from about 3 years previous on the back <laugh>

Imagine all of that and getting paid 6 figures a week to do it. Being a millionaire in your early twentys. Easy to see why some get carried away with that side of it all.
