Allayhar is turning heads. Negatives is that they are big clubs looking at him, positives is that he is made of chocolate it seems and his injury record concerns at least one of them.
It’s hardly surprising a player as explosive as he is struggles though. Albeit he seems to have turned a corner, touch wood.
Isn't there a high sell on clause? 50% or similar? Given he reportedly came in for 4.5m, surely we'd be looking for 15m+ before considering any offer?
I'm not saying he's worth that. I'm saying we'd potentially lose money on a deal worth anything less.
Couple of places quoting 4.5m euros https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allahyar_Sayyadmanesh https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/allahyar-sayyadmanesh/profil/spieler/480975
I can’t say I’ve been very impressed with him at all tbh, every game I see him play he’s like a headless chicken. Surprises me that other clubs are after him, was a good header last night but in general he just seems to lose the ball or do nothing with it. Last night he could’ve played it to pelkas after using his pace to get onto a through ball and then… did nothing with it. Hopefully he will come good but I’ve just not seen anything to suggest he’s going to be a great signing
End of last season he was brilliant. Start of this season he was brilliant, do agree on the headless chicken comment abit. Our right hand side was completely safe in the first half because of his work rate and defensive contributions. With experience he’ll be less naive but it’s pretty short term to say youve seen nothing in him.
Agree to disagree, i go to nearly every home game and a few away games and can count on one hand the amount of good games he has had, people see things differently which is fair enough and hopefully im wrong about him. He has a great work rate but he lunges in a lot which leads to fouls against him, last night you could see how annoyed the defence was when he had a simple header played to him by Seri and he hacked it back up into the box then tried to control it and put it out for a corner. There is glimpses there but im not convinced.
The sell on will be for 50% of whatever we get on top of the fee we paid, so it would make no difference to what we sold him for (If we sold him for £50, Fenerbahce would just get nothing).
End of last season he was brilliant, Boro away, Cardiff at home, Forest at home he lead the line brilliantly. Start of this season he was excellent played out of position. I do agree on the headless chicken comment but players get commended for putting in effort and he epitomises that just sometimes goes too fast
Can’t agree on his defensive ability he might chase someone back to tackle but so often the ball’s being played around and past him , he seems to be half asleep to it at times, he did it last night in the first half particularly.
yeah i agree with all that just feel like we should be getting more outlay for the price we paid. in the few games ive seen of him, Traore looks the best signing of the summer (Seri i really enjoy watching too) but it just makes a nice change to see someone who has going forward as the first thing on there mind instead of backwards, he will be so important to us next season if we can keep him fit.
Rosy has said we’re not interested in the striker at Aberdeen but that plans are already well underway regarding our summer transfer business.
Was I imagining it or is Vaughan quite rapid, I noticed him motoring for a ball the other night, even though he was second best got there ahead of the defender. Mind you I suppose the Middlesbrough player could of been slow but he does seem quick the little lad. That first half was definitely the best city have played all season, the commentators were literally gushing on how city were playing. With better finishing we should of been 3 up at half time, enough said about the second half………
