Its not about performances now, just results.
Any win for us, anyhow.

Correct. It's a sad thing to have to say, but right now never mind the future - it's all about the next 3 weeks.

Whatever it takes to get sufficient points on the board to stay in the Championship is all that Lamouchi/Bamba need to concern themselves with and I'm sure that's the approach they'll take. Next season will take care of itself when it comes around - just forget the "progress" mantra.

Really need results to go our way Tuesday night for a bit of insurance before our Watford trip. Blackpool and Rotherham are home to West Brom and Burnley respectively, whilst Huddersfield are away at Sunderland. Not too worried about Blackpool but a win for the other two could pull them away from us.

Whilst we're at Watford on Wednesday, our other two drop candidates are at home. QPR entertain Norwich and Reading host Luton - all clubs with something to play for. This round of midweek games could have a huge impact on that final table. If Blackpool lose, in my book they're as good as down with Wigan - then it will be one from the other five for the remaining trap door spot.

Relieved to see QPR are at Burnley next Saturday whilst I can't see Reading getting much change from Robbie's boys at Cov - our home game against "nothing to play for" Stoke on the same day looks a real opportunity but can we take it?

Really, you should be, they can still easily catch you, QPR, Huddersfield and Reading

I see you've been attending your maths classes. Mathematically, with 4 games to go you could still make the playoffs. <ok>

Unfortunately, practicality rules rather than maths. Having just played Blackpool and beaten them easily up there, I get the impression that one more loss at home will put them in huge difficulties.

Anything could happen in the next 3 weeks but at least it's still in our hands to save ourselves without relying on others to lose.

True, I just checked their run in, and they are as good as down with Wigan. So 1 more from you, Reading and QPR for my money, but who know, 'it's a funny old game'.

Only those contenders? So you think Rotherham and Huddersfield are not involved in the race to the bottom?

We've got to play them both yet - that could be very interesting in a good or bad way for us or them.

A big motivational job needed by Lamouchi and Bamba. Our guys looked shell shocked trudging off the pitch on Saturday.
It was ironic that bar 3 defensive blunders which hasn’t been our main problem this season we played better there than v Sunderland and created several chances.

Glen made some good points today about what formation/personnel is needed for the run in.

If only we could nick an unexpected win to ease having to rely on other results:emoticon-0138-think

Not a great night for us. Everyone except Blackpool getting at least a point. Rotherham coming from behind to get a draw with Burnley.

Even Wigan got a win at Stoke.

On the plus side, if we can somehow win tomorrow with our injury plagued side then we leapfrog Huddersfield and are only a point behind the Water Babies...

Our game against them just keeps gaining greater significance.
I really do pray justice is done in that one....

Of course they could be, but I don't see you, or QPR matching or bettering there current, or potential points total. I maintain I think it's 2 from 3.

Athough in no way conclusive, we'll know a lot more after tonight.

True, the Watford game won't be easy, they have to win to stay in the PO off race, and I think will win by 2 goals. The Reading v Luton game is interesting, Luton can't catch Sheff Utd in reality, and equally are highly unlikely to be caught by the teams below and miss out on the Play-off's, so how motivated will they be tonight, against a team fighting for their lives, and in theory, far more motivated? Maybe a draw there tonight..
