I'd imagine he could. Does a lot of tribute band stuff, Lizzy, Metallica etc, new venture with RHCP cover band starts next week, with a fella that folk rate as not quite Flea but as close as you can get.

I was going to ask, because I re-read what you wrote (I often misread stuff lol), are you giving him lessons or your mate?

The guy that gave me lessons lives abroad now, if I was to have lessons now, I'd be coming at it from a completely different angle, it's kind of weird how we develop our own style. I think we learn to work around our own abilities, while staying within the context of stuff we enjoy.
Youtube is a great source though, lessons help with the bits you would otherwise overlook.

He said, youtube is great but folk pick up their own bad habits and a couple of 1 hour sessions with someone who knows what they're doing can usually get them back on track and it's worth doing a couple of times a year. When I told him he's keen on the Blues, he said it's a great place to start and it willl be in his forte teaching him.
I thought I'd already done The Thrill Is Gone, but clearly not, despite having videos saved of it, I must have gone scatter brain again and moved onto something else. Anyway, started myself a music book and writing some of these tunes down now (note by note), so I can get myself a bit more organised...
