Only 0.8 seconds slower than the 5yo winner later, who was carrying just 1lb more. On the face of it, that looks a very good performance from the winner on his debut. Not entered in the Derby but by Nathaniel out of a Sadler's Wells mare. If the Derby looks like being run on soft ground, could be worth supplementing, depending on how he comes out of this dreadful introduction
