Problem with us, is we are full of ideas initially but then become predictable, We lack being able to finish a move off, it happens too often so must be the quality we have or it has to be a confidence thing in front of goal.. two mistakes cost us two goals, I’m not gonna blame the mistakes but more concerned that we are unable to convert chances..

Agree we need someone as competition to Max, same as any position competition keeps players “on their toes”, his level has slipped a bit lately, but like you said he’s still young for a keeper, overall this season he’s done well. I’m not sure about the French lad I think he may well leave in the summer

At least we are making chances, it would be more of a worry if we weren’t, agree though we need to learn to be more clinical. We had stopped making silly errors at the back, but they seem to be creeping in again. We need to nip it in the bud. To me we always seem to blow it when we’ve done well and put ourselves in with a chance of getting into a good position in the league, we don’t seem to quite believe in ourselves enough.

I only see City highlights but O’Leary doesn’t inspire me with any confidence whatsoever

That was so uninspiring big changes required for next season and deep down I think Nige knows that.
Two poor sides out there today.

You can’t judge on highlights only, you need to see the whole game tbf

Just listened to NP on RB, he didn’t see it the same as you. Said on another day we’d have won. Played the better football, not too bothered as we created lots of chances just couldn’t take them.

If it had been Vyner, some on here would have pinned it on him….

I wasn't able to make the 6:30am wake up call today and it looks like I didn't miss very much, but when you consider it's an end of the season encounter for us what can you expect? We are entering yet another off-season where we need to make major changes and find talent that can make us a contender, which is starting to sound the same as the last umpteen campaigns. There are many unknowns making up the mix and I suppose the biggest factor could be what happens to Alex during the summer given his recent injury issue. Let's just say we have a transfer pot of 20 million to possibly spend where do you think the money could be best spent to up the ante in time for next time out? For me a goalkeeper is required as I find Max a little trigger happy on some of his goal kicks, both static and in play, and despite his capability in several areas of the game I still think he is a work in progress and needs a quality back-up or possible replacement. My opinion of Zak is that he has definitely improved his all round play but I still have doubts as to whether he is up to the standard required to make us a serious challenge. Other positions we need to bolster is by getting a dominant mid-field general who runs the team and adds bite across the pitch, plus a forward with height and strength to give us more muscle in the penalty area for free kicks and corners. I hope we are not making the same comments again this time next year as that would basically confirm that our philosophies are not from any books on how to succeed and achieve your dreams.

We require far better and also far better around the pitch if they are serious of a challenge next season.
