I thought there were a lot of players having bad games today. Guimares and Joelinton in the middle were awful. Couldn't string a pass together, falling over the ball and missing tackles.

Absolutely Joelinton's worst game for a long long time ... there's no doubt Newcastle were poor , but I think Aston Villa were just outstanding tbh. Newcastle were made to look completely clueless because there was never anything on .. Aston villa were one step ahead in every movement.

I think we're reaching a bit there because newcastle should've been 3 down after 15 minutes and were dominated in every area of the pitch including mentally in the end.

Newcastle rolled over in the end .. they simply gave up.
Should have been 3 down but weren’t. Doesn’t change my point.
Gave up from the point of getting off the bus lol.
Bad job, sort it out and do better next time hopefully

I think they tried but were outclassed until they gave up.

Villa are a serious team now imo.. had players out today .. wow

Unai Emery totally out coached EH today.

We couldn't even string passes together in their own half while they were having a field day on our own.

Think that's a tad harsh on Eddie, didn't see the game but it sounds like everyone had an absolute mare once they crossed the white line in a black and white shirt. Trippier, Schar, Burn all getting pelters on Social Media from the back 5, Joelinton, Bruno didn't get near anything or make any series of passes and Willock has barely been mentioned which might even be worse than being noticed to be ****e. Then onto the front 3 - Murphy and Gordon supporting Isak is not what you want going into a big game against inform opposition like Villa. Isak got 9 touches in the first 45... tough to do much with that.

Thought Eddies interview on the BBC was class - poor day at the office and wasn't interested in looking for "positives" knows we need better against Spurs...
