Howe will be out on his arse the minute the milk starts to sour....

He's done too well .....now a large portion of nufc fans will see 10th next season as unacceptable which it really wouldn't be imo.

I don't know quite how this group of players has got into this position, but Its highly unlikely to repeat.

I'm not I'm more than happy with 6th or 7th and I've been warning people that they're too fixed on 4th and will kill the buzz of Europa.

The problem is, Champions League is far better for us. If we get Europa League then fixture congestion will be a big issue.

I have serious concerns if we are in Europa and don't sign enough good players, we will be struggling in the league, its happened so many times to so many teams.

I absolutely agree it's potentially club changing and it's why I think they'll fail. Newcastle united never do the business when it comes to the crunch.

The rest of the country is hoping with everything they have thst newcastle fail to finish 4th , so just don't sell yourself to 4th ad if it means we don't have our takeover.

The problem directly them still exists either way and the exciting future still exists for us.

Agree Champs league is by far the better option. Way more money, better for getting players we want in the summer and going forward. It's proven time after time that teams struggle when in those lower value European comps. If you want to progress and Europe is better than none but top 4 this season would make a big difference imo. Also I think we have got a bit lucky this year that teams like Liverpool & Chelsea have gone off the boil creating a pretty unique opportunity.

Unai Emery totally out coached EH today.

We couldn't even string passes together in their own half while they were having a field day on our own.

The money element will see Newcastle fail by whatever means necessary.

Newcastle couldn't go within a yard of villa players today and in the end stood off them.... Newcastle have to win against all the elements.

We have had many performances like this. We just manage to turn it on for a good while and put teams away. Villa stopped us from doing that. Clearly the better team on the day.

The dustbin at left back had another shocker. When will EH get rid? Needs to be soon. He's a massive weakness

For now as a squad player yes, going forward probably no one did. Mind after today there’s plenty others did as bad and worse.

Miggy scores one of his two good chances and it could have been a different game. Small margins at times although we deserved nowt from that game

I think we're reaching a bit there because newcastle should've been 3 down after 15 minutes and were dominated in every area of the pitch including mentally in the end.

Newcastle rolled over in the end .. they simply gave up.

I guess we'll see how they respond vs spurs Newcastle at home have a chance in that game , but I hope max is available.
