Too true, young whippersnapper but that probably explains our deep understanding of football, whereas yours is merely superficial. First away game would have been at N'cle First London away game would have been North Shields at Wembley
Me dad is an oldie too who "knows what he's talking about"... All he's ever talking about is how "that was never a foul in my day"
I'm probs older than your dad. My first game was opening day of 76/77 season 2-2 at Roker v Arsenal. Hot summers day Monty in goal and me in Roker end. I'm old lol but they are precious memories
Everton in 2006 the day Jon Stead scored. Drew 2-2 Rory Delap with a late headed equaliser it was one of the 15 points we got that season.
Nah, he's got about 7 or 8 years on you going off this thread. I'm hardly a whippersnapper (though it's all relative). Tranmere away was my first, I think in 97. Home was Leicester in 93/94.
Think I was at that Tranmere game. I think I'd probs already suffered a few relegations by then lol. That's why some of us older ones struggle to be optimistic sometimes. Not all of us but some.
My first away game was against Derby County at the Baseball Ground. About 96. Got beat 1-0, Dickie Ord was sent off.
I've mentioned this on here before, but My first away game was QPR 4 - 1 South Shields in the F.A. Cup on Saturday January 3rd, 1970, when my Granda kept me alive with whisky on the way home after QPR fans had smashed the windows of our bus, driven by my dad, while we were at the match, and Januaries (is that a real word ?) were proper cold in those days) Unfortunately, I can't remember my first S.A.F.C. home or away games . . . . I've got no idea why not
Was thar the Tranmere game where their lad got sent off but they somehow managed to sub him and keep 11 on? Sure we got knocked out. John Aldridge was still kicking about I think.
That was the game where there was a player sent off for them but he got replaced? Lol... Then that said player defended a goal attempt from us in the dying seconds...
Aye that must have been the one. I just remember seeing his face with his ****ing daft tache on the sideline. Bellend.
Certainly not my avatar should give you a clue BigMackem is a little large to be a Fox . Silver Surfer is more apt !!!
