No its not sustainable long term, but it is this season.

We're not going anywhere. Despite the early promise, injuries completely killed off any chance we had of a play off push that looked possible under Rosie this season. But to be honest, it was always unlikely.

I just don't see why there's any reason to be down about performances from a line up that will look different next season compared to today. Half the defence will be different, probably a completely different attack and a change or two in midfield. Rosie is doing well with a team that Shota couldn't get anything out of, despite having a lot of knock backs along the way.
The personnel will change but the attacking phases and moves will not, and that is what I’m not seeing from this team. It doesn’t matter if Ebiowei is not here next season because the winger that is here instead should be doing the exact same job that Rosie is asking of them. Rosie claims he’s trying to implement a “philosophy” and style of play yet it’s nowhere to be seen other than one triangle between our keeper and sideways passing of our CB’s.

Yes we’ve improved defensively since Shota but we’re actually worse off defensively than we were last season. Our attacking play is just not there, and it hasn’t improved since Rosie took over.

Hull manager Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:

"Our first-half performance was way off the levels we have played at this season and I had to make changes. I wasn't happy with our intensity, energy and our application.

"What I saw in that first half I never ever want to see again. I love this club and I will not accept anyone who does not put in 100%.

"We worked hard on our defensive shape and that is what won us the game. Karl Darlow was magnificent when he was called upon.

"What we need to do is make sure that this time next season we are at the top end of this league. I am putting pressure on myself saying it, but I know what it requires."

Millwall boss Gary Rowett told BBC Radio London:

"From 15 or 20 minutes onwards we were by far the better team. We had pretty much control of the game and all the best chances.

"As an away team we have had 20 shots on goal and Darlow has made five or six outstanding saves. The reality is I was really pleased with the performance.

"I didn't like the goal we conceded - I thought it was a bit of a soft goal from a long way out and we could close down quicker - but after that we have got to take our chances.

"That's why strikers usually get the most money and, as we saw in January, are hard to find. We got into some brilliant areas and that last little bit of composure and quality wins us the game comfortably."
Fair summing up by both managers I’d say
Interesting rosenior makes the point not putting 100% in
Greaves will go in the summer I would say.

Well yes, but Rosie is trying to play his way with a team he didn't build.

He's working with a squad that's been largely impacted by injuries, as well as players that probably wouldn't be in the first team if everyone was fully fit. Is it really a surprise he's not quite got them going exactly the way he wants it?

Give him time.

2 games against Sunderland, 2 games against Reading, Rotherham last week all desperately unlucky not to win - and that's 12 or so extra points we should have had and deserved straight away.
I can only remember commenting on the recent Sunderland game tbh but yeah can’t really complain if performances are good!

Now... a chance to see where we are... we've still to play 3 of the top 6 plus Watford and Swansea... we could do some play off aspirations some damage... top half still possible...?

Rosenior speaking on Humberside after the game wasn't happy with the effort from the players in the 1st half. From my view in the west stand he wasn't happy with Greaves' performance levels and I wasn't surprised he was shepherds' crooked at half-time. I get the feeling Greaves isn't happy at City at the moment and other Championship teams will be alerted to this fact. I can see him being out the door in the transfer window.

Square pegs in round holes Rob.

Greaves’s body language told its own tale today.

Allam’s GONE.

Yeah exactly. Can’t complain at a good performance, the result doesn’t always go your way but not going to ignore a bad performance just cause we got the result

Yet you criticise when the boot is on the other foot and don't get the result we deserve which has happened numerous times in recent months.

The question is will BBC Humberside continue to provide live match commentary of Scunnie? They could choose to cover North Ferriby instead.

They didn't cover Ferriby when they were in the national league did they? Sure Kingston Radio did though.

Every time we've deserved the result and not got it. You're just clinging to your bias against the manager.
I’m going to call bullshit on that, happy for you to provide evidence to prove otherwise. A good performance is there to see, can’t really criticise it. :emoticon-0102-bigsm
