There are some great photo's on that link(bookmarked, thanks <ok>), how anyone can look at those photo's and claim that Hull is a dump is beyond me.

Why do people from the East Midlands have such an embarrassing, try-hard accent which just makes them sound like middle-class people who aspire to have their own linguistic identity but fail badly? I'd love to know.

If you're a Received Pronunciation speaker, don't be ashamed of it.

Why do people from Leeds have teeth missing and spend their days digging for empty bottles in rubbish tips? I'd love to know <ok>

God, some people are taking this literally aren't they, providing "evidence" and all! Quite sad, and shows it's touched a nerve with some.

Most of this pics by the way are just typical, generic pics that could be from any city in England. Except the ones of the boats of course. You're near the sea, I envy you that. But where are the beach shots? <laugh>

They're actually on a river, and the closest thing they have to a beach is a load of wet mud. 10-15 miles upstream is a different story however <ok>

That picture's actually taken just three miles from the KC.

    And mudholes, like that beach.

The estuary is linked to the North Sea.

That's not next in the sequence. The correct answer would be raindrops.

It goes for miles, but it's hard to show in a picture, much as I try, some of the image still moves off into the distance......

It's not a house, it's a pub and it's never flooded to my knowledge, the water only goes up to the water line(that's why it's called a water line).

You might find the water line looks a bit short, I think some of that must be in the distance too. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Yeah - I visited for a music festival, as I was in Eire at the time (5-6 yrs ago). Had a good time, but lots of really run down and tough areas.

    Is your contract fixed term?

If Brown had a notice period there'd be no pay-off to agree as it would simply be the wages for his notice period, that's the whole point of the notice period, to ensure that neither party is left in the lurch.

It's standard practice for key personnel to have a three month 'gardening leave' clause in their contract, preventing them from working for a competitor business until at least three months after resigning. Almost everyone I deal with has them, many of them have enjoyed some very long holidays over the years.

If people in a rich city like Leeds are behaving like that, things must be awful in the smelly Riding to our East.
