Is it legitimate to have bugbears on a public forum? Surely part of the ‘contract’ is warmly and graciously accepting various opinions as part of the rich tapestry of life, whilst thinking the people making them are clueless imbecile’s who shouldn’t be let near a keyboard?

How are you Jammy by the way? <laugh>

    …Only teasing jambo

I've managed to watch alot of football this season and the team that consistently looks **** is Forest. Their one glimmer of hope is Brennan Johnson and even he was woeful last night. Couldn't trap a bag of cement.

I'm fairly confident that Forest will finish rock bottom. That's dependent on how Southampton react to being cut adrift at the bottom but if they knuckle down and fight for their lives I think Southampton will finish above Forest and by some distance. Forest probably won't win another game this season. So Forest bottom with Southampton 2nd bottom then the last place filled by any of the others.

While we're conversing, how did you rate Sinisterra last night? Signs are there he is coming in to full fitness.

I am hearing there will be a break in the Palace game this Easter Sunday. It will be to allow any christian lads the chance of a hot cross bun or an egg. Some players are being encouraged to wear their Easter bonnets with all their frills.

Sinisterra was excellent and if if he can stay fit and get a run of games we'll hopefully see him improve further. If he does that then he might well be the best player at the club you think he is.

That's if he's played on the left of course as he wouldn't be half the goal threat without being able to cut inside on his very strong right foot. Harrison was superb on the right as well but neither of them would be able to be as good without the tireless over and under lapping of Firpo & Ayling. Full marks to Ayling by the way, who after a difficult opening half hour or so kept going and improved significantly as the match wore on.

Good performance all round and got the job done which was the most important thing <ok>

Looking at the bottom teams remaining fixtures, Forest look doomed, other than home to Soton, there's a chance they won't get another point, doesn't work like I know that but if they get more than 6/7 I'd be surprised. Some interesting weeks coming up.

... yup, the only curve ball from. the remaini g foxtures is the amount of 'bottom' teams that play each other. So someone has to pick up points... i'm praying for draws in all those games.

So how did the players perform last night ?

    Meslier
Only one shot on target, which he didn't have any chance with so a quiet night for our shot stopper. Seems to have simplified his distribution so as not to concede possession, or put us under presure as much. One slightly scary moment when he left his area to head clear but other than that an uneventful match.

    Ayling
Conceded possession too many times at the start of the match but in his defence we now go Mesler-Koch-Ayling nearly all of the time when playing out from the back. This leaves Luke up against the touchline where his options are fairly limited and if he goes long all the time and we lose possession that way he'd probably get pelters for that. Also a couple of times team mates didn't really show for the ball and he was left with ever diminishing options. Improved massively after the shaky start and got forward as much as possible to help Harrison out wide on the right side of our attack.

    Koch
Rock solid and no real alarms apart from when caught out for pace with balls over the top. The good thing though is Koch is becoming Mr Dependable and plays to a good level every match without ever being outstanding.

    Struijk
Really good to see Pascal back to his best in his natural centre back berth. Good understanding with his fellow defenders and made timely tackles whenever required. Difficult to see Coops dislodging him on this performance but Wober would likely come straight back in when fit.

    Firpo
Following his recent run of games Junior put in another excellent performance. Positionally and tactically sound as he shackled Forest's star man who just got more and more frustrated as the night went on. Plenty of offensive work that caught the eye but the real moment of class was when he thwarted Forest's best opportunity to equalise from a long ball straight down the middle.

    Roca
Superb performance from Roca and probably his best of the season so far. Seemed to get stronger second half and was always in the right place to either get a tackle in or link the play.

    McKennie
Far more progressive performance from Weston first half as he looked to get us foward and break the lines with some excellent midfield play. Then second half he kept the tactical discipline as we went longer to counter Forest's 6 man press. On this evidence he looked a definite keeper for next season.

    Aaronson
Seems rejuvenated since Gracia's appointment, took up some excellent positions between the lines, stonger in possession and a very likeable performance.

    Harrison
Superb all round performance from Jack and he looked a very good player operating out wide on our right side. Scored a great goal by keeping himself onside when following up Roca's strike on goal and put in a massive shift for the team. Always available and willing to drive with the ball to get us into those dangerous last third areas of the pitch.

    Sinisterra
Still working his way back to match fitness but looked very classy right from the get go. Runs at defenders and commits them which hopefully we'll see a lot more of over the coming weeks. Good understanding with Firpo when attacking and they linked up well on numerous occasions with simple but effective passing. Scored the winning goal with really good close control of the ball and an accurate finish just inside the far post.

    Bamford
Great movement and played a vital role second half when we played longer out from the back. Too many poor touches to say he had a good game but there's no doubt we function better as a team when Patrick is in it.

    Subs

    Rodrigo

Classy as ever and we need him fully fit asap
    Summerville
Excellent option to have from the bench and scared them to death with his pace.
    Kristensen
Came on to help run the clock down and see out the game.
