good point, kids watch and learn even when they do not understand (i dare bet every one that played cricket as kids would rub a tennis ball on their trousers), already seen plenty of posts about kids rolling about and waving imaginary cards at the officials...in our 'weekend' games none of these feckers would dare play, the older lads made sure you got no soft treatment although they were never over rough, you soon learned it was part of the game.

Kids will copy, and that's a fact.

During my coaching career in the 80's and 90's, an incident happended in front of all the parents of an under 12's session.

Two boys went in for a fair tackle. They both fell to the ground, and they both got up unhurt. Niether won the ball.

However, the bigger lad shouted, "Do that again and I'll do a flying Cantona kick to you head"

He was banned from future coaching sessions...

10 matches for me. Stamp it out and send a message.

Yellow for all players confronting the ref as only the captain is allowed to do so

It’s ridiculous that this hasn’t been brought in yet. Or a yellow for the captain if any of his players do this. He’s meant to be in charge on the pitch.

Would soon stamp it out.

Yes, and clear understanding of the rules and consistency from refs would help.

100%. There are so many “easy, quick fixes” like this that they simply won’t implement. Independent timekeeper is another one. Would do away with time wasting overnight. It’s not difficult, it’s just that the players and clubs, who actually “run” the game, don’t want it

Yep. Especially the top six. All changes made benefit them, and very little happens if they don't want it to. It's why they were so taken aback by the push back to their super league crap, which will be along again soon.

8 games he surely did wrong we all know that. But the ref could have handled the situation better.

What Mitro did was wrong and the ban I believe is about correct
but I can't understand how the fake Bruno can escape any form punishment for his altercation with the assistant ref
by the looks of it, we are still working on two sets of 'laws of the game'

You can kick elbow nut an opponent and get away scot free. but nudge the ref and you're out for 8 games. It's time there was consistency in football. Cos right now it's a farce.

Well they eventually got round to making a decision.
Perhaps it was throwing darts at a board that landed on 8 that did it...seriously think 8s about right, but did it have to take so long?

To be fair, which is rare for me, a one match ban doesn't take long to consider.

An eight match ban is a huge part of the season and one that could cost Fulham dearly.

So, yes, it would take time imo.
