Bollox. When Ashley was pictured drinking, he was doing it in the crowd with his toon top on during his first season before things went wrong and the crowd turned against him.
So there was no panning of cameras whilst fans cried. That's in your imagination.
I've never said he rinsed the club and never seen anyone else saying he rinsed the club to fund Sports Direct. He did use it as a free advertising billboard that he never ever paid for. So whilst other clubs commercial revenue streams sky rocketed over his 14 year period, ours stagnated.
He also sold a large part of land that the club had owned for years to himself for £1 before selling it privately for millions. Club has just purchased it back.

Plus you weren't even playing tonight so the focus is on Spuds and Everton, especially as it was a decent game with loads of talking points.

I enjoy beating all the big clubs, not to the point in hating them, but I do enjoy giving your boys a game as much as I do Sunderland.
With the success you lot have enjoyed since, I can totally understand your indifference to us, as I would feel, but, being the closest we've come to winning something in my life it did sting a bit.
It's not a rivalry I completely get that.

For the record Newcastle are a great club and personally I'll always have a soft spot for them after Keegan went there as a player and then later as their manager
