I enjoy beating all the big clubs, not to the point in hating them, but I do enjoy giving your boys a game as much as I do Sunderland.
With the success you lot have enjoyed since, I can totally understand your indifference to us, as I would feel, but, being the closest we've come to winning something in my life it did sting a bit.
It's not a rivalry I completely get that.
A draw would be best result all round for the neutrals, keeps things very interesting for a few more weeks at both the top and bottom of the table.
Dunno mate I only really care about us and I'd like to visit Goodison once more before it goes so hopefully they come down with us.

Nah two trips to Newcastle in 3 months doesn't appeal to me somehow haha. Only just finished the last one as I got caught speeding on the way home so did a course last week which added £85 to the total

It's not weird at all, it's really quite simple.
People who don't know will think it's about finishing second to Manchester twice in the 90's, or losing cup finals to them. They may even refer to Alex Ferguson calling us out for no obvious reason in his latter years. I can assure you it's nothing to do with that, we've finished runners up to other clubs in other competitions and we don't hate them.
The reason is one thing. Terry Christian on Fantasy Football in the 90's. The singular most obnoxious and punchable football fan I've ever had the misfortune to witness and he's all yours. He was a magnifying lens through which the entire fanbase viewed Manchester Utd fans, obviously unfairly. I'd have 100 horse punchers over that guy. Mount his head on a spike outside Old Trafford and we're all good again as I couldn't give a solitary **** about your club otherwise to be honest.

I'm pretty torn to be honest. For Newcastle I really want Everton to get a result but even typing those words hurts.
I'm viewing it as win-win as sadly they can't lose-lose. Draw would be best i guess. Maybe red cards and injuries though, that'd be fun.
