Agree with both Spurly and RCL. At the very least we deserve to be entertained but there's a massive craving for silverware too. I can live with putting the latter on the backburner for a while if it meant the club had a genuine plan to get them in time or at the very least seriously challenge for them. Right now, we're playing turgid, awful football. We seem miles away from winning anything. We're seeing **** ****s like Moura and Sanchez still get on the pitch, with the likes of Dier still starting. We have a chairman who over the last 4 or so years has gotten just about every footballing decision wrong. There seems to be zero plan at this football club from board to manager(s). It is an awful, awful time to be watching and supporting Spurs and the only saving grace this club has got is likely to want out in the summer and not a soul on earth could blame him.
Team marks Lloris 5 ... jittery at points Dier 5 ... a good block & 2 decent passes Romeo 5 ... reckless Porto 4 ... unimpressive Lenglet 4 ... worse than Dier Skipp 6...battled away. poor 2nd half Hoejberg 6...see above Perisic 6...started well but faded Kuluchevski 4... tried but wasteful Son 2 ... tried but woeful at everything Kane 6 ... hated his reaction for the red Sub Sanchez 5...did nothing right or wrong Moura 0... simply WTF Stallini 1 ... raised several questions... Why did he use tactics we are bad at...like sitting back to defend a lead? Why was Moura brought on? Why was Sanchez brought on? Why was Son given so long? Why was Kuluchevski not subbed? Why did we only make 2 subs?
Agree with your rankings but there are answers to your questions... Sitting back against 10 men ought to work...they should overstretch and get caught on the break. The centre-half scoring a world is not going to happen often. Moura is pretty fast and therefore a good choice for those tactics. Sanchez replaced Lenglet who was on a yellow...certainly not bonkers. Son is either one of our best players and should stay on or he is past it and shouldn't be selected. Kulusevski ditto
Why does Kulusevski tend to take up positions literally standing on the touchline? His game is built almost entirely around cutting inside onto his rather deadly left foot. That being said, why position him 20 yards further away from where we'd ideally like him to receive possession? Especially now that we supposedly have a "proper" RWB whose job it is to make the overlapping runs hugging the touchline, allowing Kulu to push infield much closer to Kane and the CMs. Is this a tactical decision? Is the youngster lacking confidence now that most PL defenders have sussed him out?
It’s odd because the variance to his game is what made him so effective last season. You never knew if he was going to hug the touchline, pop up in the channel, cut in or go round the outside from either position. Porro is quite a capable player and you’d think would be comfortable taking up spaces where Kulu isn’t.
Thought I was seeing things when I was watching the game (had it on mute at the time). Was this checked? Looks pretty blatant. Obviously if it was given and we scored the pen it would have been daylight robbery, Everton fully deserved the point on the basis of their performance after we scored.
There really isn’t anything Lucas is a good choice for and that’s been the case for at least three years. Last four seasons he’s managed just nine league goals. Utterly horrendous player that has basically milked his Spurs career off of one heroic 45 minutes. I cannot wait to see the back of him, as is true for many others.

After the sending off and taking the lead with the penalty, Spurs were dominating possession quite high up the pitch. Everton were being given the runaround trying to cover the spaces Spurs were able to find. All those players were capable of continuing to do that and hold out for a 1-0 or even 2-0 win and would have been 6/10 across the board. It was bizarre to watch Spurs drop deep to defend and allow Everton possession. This effectively nullified the man advantage because Everton didn’t need men behind the ball to defend. Spurs no longer posed a threat. It was a great strike by Keane, but he only had the chance because he was able to stay forward in an attacking position. Even as a neutral, I was shouting at the TV screen “what are you doing?”. You could see the players throwing the initiative away and looking powerless to stop it. What made them change tactics? It must have come from Stellini - but would could he see - or not see- that was so different to the rest of us? He tactics were the only way Everton could have got back into the game - it was handed to them on a plate.
We haven't had control of the midfield since Bentancur got injured. Unsurprising really as Hojbjerg while he has a superb attitude is a pretty basic player, while Skipp is still developing. Plus neither of them are suited to the role being asked of them. I have no idea why we didn't switch to 433 as soon as we exited the CL. One game a week means less risk of injury or fatigue and Sarr has already shown himself to be more than capable. Instead, we are essentially insisting on a system that doesn't suit most of the starting XI. I'd say only Romero and Porro have the profiles that naturally suit the roles required of them. Son is lost somewhere in midfield, Dier isn't good enough to lead the line, Davies and Lenglet are liable to being outmuscled or outpaced, and Perisic can't cover for them as he can't defend, Kulusevski spends most of his time doing Riverdance on the touchline and Kane is left to pick up the load on his own. There are square pegs in round holes everywhere and it is infuriating to watch.
This is why I supported your campaign to become Mod of this board. No nonsense. One Vince McMahon gif and he'd have been out on the street. No polite warnings, no second chances. Out.
1. We are dogshit at sitting back so it's a terrible tactic for us. We were 3 up v forest ... Sat back and gave away a goal and a penalty, we were 3-1 up v Southampton and sat back and gave away 2 goals. Sitting back yesterday was a terrible tactic which we all said would lead to them scoring so it ain't a matter of hindsight. 2. Moura has done nothing for years and has been injured most of the season. He has made no impact as a substitute. There were other alternatives available. 3. Replacing Lenglet may have made sense but Sanchez does not strengthen our defence. 4. Son was poor yesterday so should have been subbed earlier so I don't get your point tbh. Same with Kuluchevski. Both have been out of form so personally I'd have had both on the bench and started Danjuma and Sarr
