That’s what was said about Jesse. You can also argue that past good performances suggests future success, it’s why the likes of Dyche, Hodgson etc. keep getting appointed. All opinions I’ll admit but I’d go with either Potter (first choice) or Rogers ahead of Javi. In fact I think we’re exactly the sort of club Potter should have moved onto. I know how well Brighton are doing this season but I still see us as a step up for him for his career. Not the prima donna player at Chelsea but a club with real ambition where the right manager can become a legend if they get it right. My view is that if Javi keeps us up in style he deserves to keep the job and start planning who goes who stays and who comes in. Disagree. We are probably at the same stage as Brighton when he took over there. We’re on the verge of madness if we’re comparing ourselves with Chelsea.
