Panic move. 7 of their last 10 games are at home and they still have to entertain Wolves, TWS, Everton, Bournemouth and Wham - 5 teams down there with them. 8 or 9 points from those 5 games will get them a long way towards safety I would have thought

Disagree, should have happened ages ago. And from his perspective he should have walked in the summer when he could have had his pick of a job - at one point United were looking at him to replace Ole. They've been awful all season with no signs of that changing.

Didn’t he have to sell a lot of his best players? Not sure if that’s true like

Chillwell, McGuire, Schmeichel, Fofana, Albrighton, for starters.

    Taken from BBC football page:
"........ Leicester not only lost out on the profile of Champions League football but also the riches that came with it, the club's owners and chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha subsequently pulling in the purse strings to ensure they did not fall foul of Financial Fair Play rules."

From what I gather, failure to reach the CL meant he couldn't buy any new players, which has consequently seen them struggle. Plus I knew that selling Mark Allbrighton to West Brom was an error....

ps...the last bit is a joke. Baggies don't rate him.

You going all the way back to Maguire to claim that's impacted Leicester this season? And Albrighton? Jesus. Chilwell's been gone for years too and Schmeichel was just about past it.

While Leicester didn't invest heavily in the summer they did bring in Faes and then Souttar in January, and Rodgers had a very capable striker in Iheanacho that he essentially refused to play a lot of the time. The squad management was on him, the players they have should be comfortably mid-table.

I know a man who knows a man who has a next door neighbour…

But someone I know well knows one of the Leicester first team players agents very well, and it’s not been a happy camp there this year. The dressing room is fractured into smaller groups and they’re not a tight group. Not a great deal of respect for the manager either. The only reason he’s remained in the job is because he had such an outrageously big compensation fee that the club couldn’t afford to pay.

    Allegedly.

Think I mentioned that months ago when there was some discussion about managers, that Leicester essentially couldn't afford to sack him, so think it's right.

So they couldn’t afford to sack him until they sacked him?

Until later in the season when presumably the clauses allowed for it - i.e. unable to make CL, things like that you'd assume.

He’s left by mutual consent, so you would have to assume he’s waived at least some of it.

I was told the figure, I can’t remember what it was but it was a staggering amount like £20 million or something.

Same as Potter where he isn't getting his contract paid out but think they're paying him until he lands his next job.

Question was didn't he have to sell players FACT.

All I'm suggesting is that their demise began c3 years ago with this season being a culmination of those decisions. Plus Vardy isn't the player he used to be. Jesus by the way plays for Arsenal :1980_boogie_down:
