He didn't have to sell the players, the club received offers they couldn't turn down. They also brought in plenty of talent which I believe I pointed out, FACT. They won the FA Cup last season, how on earth did their demise begin 3 years ago?
There is a lot wrong at Leicester. Certainly a mismatch between those running the club and the (ex) coach and his staff. Why extend Vardy' contract by 2 years when the coach doesn't play a style suited to him. What I am told by those that watch them are Rodgers plays possession based football which is driving most of the supporters to despair (sound familiar?). Apparently they dished out ridiculous contracts to players following the champions league year(s) which is catching up with them. Too many so so players on silly money. Who signed Vestergaard and Soyuncu? Two centre backs he doesn't ever play? If they were his signings then he should be sacked for that alone. FFP has restricted their ability to refresh the squad which every club has to do, just to standstill. And their goalkeepers aren't good enough. A nice close away day for me when they come down. Think that might just happen.
I'm aware they had issues years ago, and they were managing it. They managed it so well they finished 5th three years ago and then despite dropping to 8th last season, added silverware. The drop off is the same Rodgers gets at every club he's managed at, he loves the sound of his own voice and eventually the players get sick of it.

It's been widely reported (rightly or wrongly) that they had to start selling players for fear of breaching Fair Play Rules! Yes they have recruited, but at face value spent a lot less than received and no doubt with greatly reduced wages thrown into the mix too. I believe their demise started 3 years ago, its an opinion, my opinion , if you don't agree absolutely no problem!
Every business particularly when enjoying a successful period needs someone to be taking a longer term view. Seems to me no one was. Certainly not after the owner died.
i actually think lester might go down everytime i think they'll grab a win vs a team around them and they keep losing forest, lester and southampton to go down
Ive watched Maddisons interview post game today... thanked the fans for supporting there team etc etc... all tripe, he knows he wont be here at the start of next season and will be laughing all the way to the bank..
Forest now in the mire...With the massive turnover of playing staff, big contracts etc..etc.. I bet they need relegation back to the stiffs like they need a new arsehole... I can't imagine Cooper being there much longer. He sounded really deflated and beaten on Radio Shottingham after todays loss.
Oh dear… Trapdoor job if ever there was one.. FC massive losing form at the right time as well…titter. Forza CITY. Allam’s GONE.
