They gave assurances that they weren't. They lied.

Imagine my shock that the Public Investment Fund, who own I think 80% of Newcastle, is somehow linked to the government of Saudi Arabia. It’s almost as if it wasn’t founded by the then sovereign of the country and the current chairman isn’t the de facto ruler of the country today.

Guardian reporting that Abramovich secretly bankrolled the takeover of Vitesse Arnhem a few years back.
I look forward to Chelsea being disqualified from all the trophies they've won since.

Uncle Roman secretly bankrolling Chelsea this season might be a more relevant talking point...

Sheff Wed seem to be imploding.
Lost at Forest Green on Sunday and trailing 0-2 at Cheltenham tonight. Looked impressive v Newcastle on January, but faltering at the wrong time.

    I'd say that was a 50% RCL

He probably thought that normal rules don't apply to him and Chelsea. He's probably right. There's been no evidence of applying the rules during his tenure and the new lot (if they are actually new) have been pushing the boundaries too.

Haaland doesn't start for City. Who will they not pass to now?

They have a lot of practise at that, given they haven't been passing to Harry Kane for eighteen months...

Forest have only lost four home matches this season.
Us, Bournemouth and Fulham at the start of the campaign and you recently.
We're the only team to have beaten them by more than one goal there, bizarrely.
It was a very tight game until we got a 2nd in the 81st minute, too.

Not saying you're wrong, but I wouldn't fancy any aspect of that bet, to be honest.
All probable winners, but very marginal. Good luck. <ok>

I don't like the "anthem" singing **** that some clubs do just before kick-off.
City and Liverpool both have their variations on it and it all feels a little forced, to me.
I'm not saying this as a criticism of them, though. I feel like we go too far the other way.

We start with walkout music, then something else and the PL song.
The fans have no opportunity to get an atmosphere going.
I think it drowns out the crowd, especially if we start slow, which we invariably do.

Grealish having an excellent game for City, the equalising goal by Alvarez was a picture book goal and they almost look a better 'team' with Alvarez who contributes more in general play than Haaland.

Grealish has done some excellent defending, but he seems far too interested in winning free-kicks.
If he just got on with the game and tried to create something or score, then he'd be better, I think.

Really well worked goal and I think Alvarez has some qualities which suit City more than Haaland.
He's a better overall footballer and is happy dropping deep or going wide.
Doesn't have the power or physicality of the Norwegian, though.
Can't provide the same threat in behind, but teams don't leave that space against them.
