Southgate whinging about the lack of English players in the PL whilst he continues to pick the likes of Maguire, Dier and Phillips over more-deserving, in-form players 
The grudge he has against Ben White and Tomori is bizarre. There’s plenty of English talent in the PL and some class players playing abroad like Bellingham and Tomori. He just continues to pick certain players who have barely played because they’re in bad form or have been injured.

Like a lot of managers he sticks with players he trusts. Obviously has had a falling out with Ben White and White won't get another look in until the next England manager is in post

What message does that send to players trying to get a call-up? No matter how well you play, you’ll still miss out because he’d rather play dogshit like Maguire and Dier or players who’ve barely played and been called overweight by their club manager like Phillips? Any other industry and this would be called cronyism.
