It’s genuinely unbelievable to me that Diallo & Ely played again.

Like. I can’t fathom how selles can possibly start them in a must win game.

In general I think he’s doing ok, we definitely seem to have improved under him. But just.. what the ****. How many times do they have to prove that they are ****

I'm guessing it's a fitness issue. I dunno.

I think this has to be our worst ever season in the Premier league and we were awful in the early nineties. I thought the relegation season of 2005 under the car dealer was bad, but at least we were in games and scoring goals, but could not defend. Both Crouch and Phillips had goals, with those goals this season we would be fine.

So now we can't score, can't defend, just hopeless. Really began to believe again after Sunday. Sadly at 53 I should no better.

The saving grace with Sulemana is it tends to be his final decision that is a bit off currently. Mané was the same when he first joined. I'm just not sure if we've bought the new Mané or the new Djenepo. Time will tell.

Mane showed much more thoughand you could see he had genuine quality very early on imo whereas Sulemana is still pure potential.

Not slating him as he's young and new to a struggling team so was never going to set the world on fire but I'd defo expect more for that sort of money.

Bet they both had some excellent stats though :bandit:

Are you serious? Diallo our best player? I must have watched a different game.

Yeah I thought so, maybe KWP until his injury. He was the only one looking for a forward ball from midfield and breaking the lines with that pass. The front 3 were all basically anonymous. Centre backs didn’t really do much wrong (not sure who was meant to be picking up Norgaard for the flick on for their first goal, think it was JWP). Perraud was decent

As I said don’t think anyone can be singled out for being particularly poor tonight, just nobody was much good either

Anyway, my fault this one, first game I've watched since Leeds.

Glad I turned down a ticket when offered this morning mind!

It’s the lack of goals that’s the real killer. Supporting this bunch of pathetic mercenaries is just so boring. It sucks the life out of me.

Any other club in that situation, that had 7 minutes stoppage time announced would have had a real go. I’m not even sure what the plan was then other than argue with the Brentford players. Soul destroying.

I didn't think Diallo did anything wrong really. The depressing thing is, every single time we play against a team that are solid at the back and require us to do something clever to break them down, we just can't do it. Actually, the most depressing thing is Gary Birtles, but that's a close second.

He did nothing wrong, he was just there not offering much going forward in the same way that Lavia does, we are far too passive offensively when he and Mo El play, it's been the same all season. Start them at the Etihad but not in a winnable home match when we are desperate for points.

Must admit, Beddy really irritated me getting involved with Toney and taking up time there.

I agree Lavia should start, and I’m sure everyone knows this on the coaching staff, so you can only assume he was ****ed after the Utd game, but Diallo was actually decent tonight and definitely not to blame for the loss. Ely was Ely and I would’ve preferred anyone with some pace to start ahead of him, Edozie seems to have fallen out of favour but tonight would’ve been a good game for him I think

I know the surnames both have Man in them, but surely the comparison stops thete

Can any of our older fans shed some light on our history with Birtles? Has to be something there surely.

I know he played for Forest, did one of our players injure him once or something?

Agreed with this.
