That's not a 'false 9'
Waggy played off Chilton.Actually, you're right. It's a traditional front 2 partnership which yo seem to suggest we haven't been playing.
If we get 2 forwards fit then it would depend on form of one of the attacking midfield 3.
It'd be a 442 instead of a 4411.
But they call it 4231 these days.
Bah.
Waggy played off Chilton.
4231 to be successful needs a certain type of 3 and 1. We dont have those players so I have gone for a more solid midfield with wing backs and two strikers as well as playing our three best centre backs.
It's good to have a memory.Ah OK.
So you're still living in the 70's
You now make perfect sense.
Enjoy your evening.
It's good to have a memory.
Much better than making childish comments but then some people have to make do with what they have.
Bringing Connolly in and dropping one from the 3 AMs based on form totally messes up your formation.
So what would your formation be if you had 2 strikers? You see. If you understood versatility in players you'd see that it wouldn't.
Nor did it when Connolly came in.
We've been playing a 2 and still would be if we had 2 fit strikers.
Makes **** all difference to the fact we shouldn't be adding a defender jus cos you like Greaves.
Elder is a left back.So what would your formation be if you had 2 strikers?
I like Greaves!? Even though I prefer to play Elder as a wing back?
Do you think Greaves is a good centre back?
Would you prefer Greaves as a centre back or left back?
They'll come round to my way of thinking anywayElder is a left back.
It's arbitrary what we think anyway.
Let's see what the sensible adults in charge of the team do....
McLoughlin in a three would help the other twoCan I chip in ?
Greaves is more solid at left back .
When he plays with Jones one o ir both of them look all over the place . In a return to that position a month or two ago alongside Jones they were shocking together . Greaves can attack like Elder, maybe not as quick but he has better control of the ball.
Our defence improved massively because he made the left back position stronger , he’s good in the air . I like Elder he’s really committed BUT like Coyle close control and overrunning the ball are weaknesses that surrender posession a bit easily . They are both real hardworking grafters . I like Pelkas as a no 10 he’s neat tidy and his control is very good shame he wasn’t a bit stronger for this division .
Don’t do formations sorry !
They'll come round to my way of thinking anyway
They did with the playing around at the back which was shipping goals
I'd have to turn him down I'm too busy with my present businessLet's hope Acun is on the phone to you next time there's an analyst job...
(he's already on the phone to Vern for an Analist)
Play a different formation
1 goalkeeper - Darlow
3 centre backs - Jones Greaves McLoughlin
2 wing backs - Coyle Elder
3 midfield - Seri Docherty Slater
2 strikers - Oscar Connolly
Wing backs and two strikers makes up for that. Slater is doing well as AM now.Not much creativity in this side
Wing backs and two strikers makes up for that. Slater is doing well as AM now.
Who would you use to provide the creativity? How often would they be injured?
