"I'm NoT a RiGhT-wInGeR" [proceeds to vomit out a continuous string of ridiculous right-wing talking points and conspiracies]
They don't want to stop the boats for how else can they whip up the hatred and transfer the blame for their incompetence onto the refugees?
I occasionally respond to requests from YouGov Daily Chat polls that I receive. Allegedly they update “live” so the percentage results shown reflect the current feelings of the people participating. My own observations, when doing these in the past, is that the opinions I am seeing are greatly anti government, and depending on the specific questions it isn’t unusual for the split to be something like 80+% being against the government with the other 20% split between pro and not sure. The chat I did today was about Lineker and refugees and I found it to be quite unsettling as the anti Lineker and anti refugee figures were pretty much on a par with those that were pro Lineker’s comments and refugees being treated humanely. I have seen socialist commentators monstering Starmer for not being as supportive of migrants as they would like him to be, but I can kind of understand him treading carefully based on what I have stated here, as it looks as if people who are generally anti Tory could be swayed into supporting them at the next election if Labour comes across as too soft on this matter.
1. I don't only listen to left wing UK media. 2. I agree. My choice of media does not make you wrong: it's facts and evidence that make you wrong. Pretty much every time. Let's take a single example. Some ill-advised naked selfies of Hunter Biden were stolen from his laptop and posted on Twitter. That's directly against the terms and conditions of Twitter (which you can check, if you like - though I know you won't bother). You are not allowed to post stolen personal material. Joe Biden's team (the people who do Joe Biden's run of the mill work) asked them to be taken down. Twitter agreed that they were improperly posted and took them down. So far, so boring. Nope. For you, it was *proof* that Twitter was conspiring with the Biden administration to hide the truth about Hunter Biden. So the facts (tedious, dull and uninteresting) prove what you claim (juicy and exciting) to be utter and total nonsense. This is one example out of dozens where you believe things that are utterly false. Demonstrably false. I know, just know, that you're going to ridicule this: I know detail and evidence don't influence you. But that's why people don't take you seriously. This stuff matters. You've been seduced into taking this utter ****e seriously and then regurgitating it without thought. Other people, like me, care about facts and evidence whereas you simply repeat without question whatever is posted in your lunatic QAnon, US-centric far-right echo chamber. So, I'm afraid, regardless of what you think you are or even what you actually are, yes, you really do come across as a right-wing loon. Evidence? So many people on here say it. You might want to consider why. I doubt you've read this far but I really do normally leave you well alone - I ignore most of your posts. However, when you claim you're the one person seeing and telling the truth I'm afraid I simply have to speak up. You're not. You're simply, demonstrably and factually not. Vin
I suspect the government knows perfectly well that forcing people onto boats would play to their base. Thirteen years in power and they still act like this is something out of their control. Laughable. Vin
It's also illegal to post non-consensual nudes in most states, stolen or no. Also, just as a point of clarification: the Biden administration didn't even exist at that time that Twitter/Facebook spiked the NY Post story (temporarily). Trump was in office. Almost all of the stories about the evils of the Department of Justice involve Trump's DOJ, actually, because their chief complaint is that their inability to show the world Hunter Biden's genitals somehow prevented Trump from winning. They're upset that Biden didn't stop Trump's executive branch from doing something (where there is thin evidence that they actually did anything anyway).
You may well be right about the timings, in which case I stand corrected on that detail. (Os, see how easy it is to make a mistake, realise, and admit it? The joy of facts.) Vin
It's an easy mistake to make, because it's an intentional piece of sleight-of-hand that the GOP and their hired help have been engaged in. The story they are trying to tell makes zero sense if one acknowledges that 99% of it happened while Trump was president, and when the officials overseeing the Department of Justice were 100% appointed by him, so they intentionally muddle the timeline and omit important facts. Here's the New York Post itself, retweeting the story last year. The date on the front page is October 14, 2020. Twitter's brief, panicky blackout on the story happened immediately thereafter. Trump remained in office until January 20, 2021.
Thought this was a pretty good take from someone on Twitter - Gary Lineker is paid to be impartial on football. Nick Robinson is paid to be impartial on politics. Should Nick Robinson be barred from expressing his support for Man U on the basis that it could influence perception of BBC coverage on Man City?
It’s not just naked selfies. it’s videos of him doing crack cocaine, hookers, illegal fire arms, dealings with China and Ukraine from before the war started. Infinite blackmail material. And it was all totally known about and then covered up at the request of Biden. It was covered up by multiple people in prominent positions as there was an upcoming election. I have said before, I am no huge fan of trump. But when I see brazen political corruption, I am obliged to call it out. And certainly if a member of Trumps family did this stuff, it would have been global front page news - amplified to levels that would have caused riots similar to the BLM riots most likely Like I said, just because you want to bury your head in the sand on certain topics, doesn’t make them fake. The facts are slowly coming out. Same with covid. I was ridiculed for saying some of the things that the Hancock WhatsApp leak proved. I will be proven right about this in time too.
The Trump family signed a multi-million dollar licensing agreement for a fake hotel in Azerbaijan, built with money their business partner appears to have been laundering for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/03/13/donald-trumps-worst-deal
Also, on the subject of Trump family corruption, it appears that an indictment of Trump himself is imminent, for falsifying business records in order to evade election laws while paying off his porn star mistress. This is the least-consequential of all the many criminal inquiries and grand juries he's facing, but it'd still be the first time a sitting/former president has ever been indicted:
Why have you made this your hill to die on? You have completely ignored the fact it was Trump who was in charge for all this. I just don’t understand your obsession with US politics - unless you are addicted to weird, sensationalist right wing podcasts or something? Edit: I just reread the last few pages. You have consistently dodged every piece of hard evidence against your ideas and chosen to focus in on petty comments instead. You are not coming at this from an open perspective. Your mind is closed and this is your religion now.
What you're doing now is, quite simply, lying. I was tediously specific about what I was talking about. You posted a link to an image where Twitter said that a request had been actioned and gave us your usual "now you all need to apologise". I think you post so much of this nonsense that you forget it. That screenshot, the one you posted, the one you said was proof of conspiracy between Twitter and Biden, relates solely to the deletion of stolen naked selfies. Nothing more. Your post. Not mine. Your evidence of corruption. And that, me old mucker, is why some of us on here think you're not worth the time. Fill your boots with your reply; I'm bored of your inability to focus on whether anything you say is true so I'm done with you for a while. Vin
If you want to know why Trump is as guilty as sin on this charge you could do worse than listen to a very entertaining explanation of the case by a lawyer and a comedian back from when it was first filed... Good enough that I listened to it twice. https://openargs.com/oa154-stormy-daniels-is-a-legal-genius/ Vin
