Both were two yellows not straight reds. The one against City was down to the ref buying into DH’s love child’s impersonation of Ashley Young .Tonight’s first was because he stood his ground and the opponent ran into him. Perhaps he should change his name to Fernandes
 
Poisonous atmosphere in North Stand for last 10 minutes. Will come back to this in a bit.

Thought we were beyond poor in every department.
Only Forster, Royal, Skipp and porro come out with credit.

Romero was stupid, Kulusevski and son tried but were woeful and lacked confidence to take on players, I genuinely do not have words to describe Perisic tonight.

Kane , tried but was ineffective.
Lenglet was so slow distributing the ball and Davies was OK at best. Hoejberg was hit and miss.

Genuinely do not see the point in Richarlison and Sanchez showed why he ain't a first teamer.

Really sorry to say but I'd rather Conte go, put Mason in charge and spend the next 3 months sorting out a long term strategy and a manager that suits that strategy.

Finally, for the first time in a long long time I found some of the atmosphere poisonous.
Some fans around me complained about "koreans" being at games...same **** I used to hear about black fans back in the 80s.
Constant moaning from others but keeping quiet through the chanting.
And the booing during the game from a sizeable chunk of fans reached a peak when we subbed of Kulusevski...for a defender.

Will be amazed if conte is the manager for the forest game tbh

I tend to agree. We are sleepwalking into making a potentially era-defining decision from a position of sheer desperation. We (i.e. ENIC) really have well and truly run out of rope. Newcastle will be a force to be reckoned with next season, Arsenal are resurgent, United are rebuilding, Chelsea are seemingly even more immune to FFP rules than they used to be, Liverpool look committed to stand by Klopp...we have spent the last 3 years running round in circles and the grace period is over. We have run out of time and are now at a crossroads. If we take the wrong turn (again), I fear we face mid-table mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

Appointing a manager out of sheer sentiment is not a wise decision, but I can understand and sympathise with the fans. Levy has snookered himself good and proper and the fans are rightly very, very afraid of what the future holds, so they are defaulting to what they know.

I've said it a few weeks ago and will say it again. Sack Conte, appoint Mason until the end of the season and see how De Zerbi finishes the season with Brighton. If they qualify for Europe and win the FA Cup, we should move heaven and earth to appoint him. Give him a five year contract, a budget, and Levy can feck off to Monaco with Lewis for the next five years and just leave him alone to run a project.

Oh wow.

Richarlison has apparently just done an interview with a Brazilian media outlet and has absolutely pummelled Conte.

Might have just made up for the fact that he's done sweet fa on the pitch.

I know I've banged on about this a lot, but I think we all knew we were ****ed from the lineup.
Perisic at LWB again, five at the back again and an unfit Kulusevski at RW again.
Some poor individual performances, but it's the system and tactics, for me.

Conte been gone for a while now, so it should just be made official.
Put him on gardening leave or something and let him return to Italy.
I'd try to keep the set-piece specialist, but that's about it.

While I'm on the subject of set-pieces, why has Perisic stopped taking them?
It's about the only thing he was consistently contributing from and now he's not on them.
Bizarre choice.

This cannot be a real quote. Surely. If he’s genuinely said this, there’s no coming back from it.

I think PNP is right. He’s checked out mentally ages ago and doesn’t seem to give a ****, hence why he’s being very blasé in his post-match interviews. Doesn’t exactly help squad morale, though.

The Athletic were reporting the other day that there’s no real appetite on both Levy or Conte’s side to extend his contract. If this is the case, may as well look to get rid of him now, put a caretaker in charge and start planning ahead for next season.

The only reason why I can think Levy wouldn’t do this is Conte’s payout may be too expensive. Either that, or he’s still harbouring hope that you’ll finish in the top-4 (still very much possible, but looking far less likely given the circumstances right now).
