Only an opinion piece, but I’m glad the narrative is finally shifting.
Prolonged lockdowns were a mistake, vaccine mandates were a crime against humanity, and paper masks didn’t do anything.
The truth always comes out eventually.
Just read U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' "
She wrote: "Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive with an appropriate amount of skepticism' about the statement he makes."
Tucker Carlson: Allegations against Dominion 'shockingly reckless'
IN PRIVATE: On Nov. 21, Carlson privately texted that claims about Dominion were "shockingly reckless," according to the filing.
It's "shockingly reckless" to claim Dominion rigged election "f there's no one inside the company willing to talk, or internal Dominion documents or copies of the software showing that they did it" -- "as you know there isn't," he wrote, according to the lawsuit.
ON-AIR: Two nights later, on Nov. 23, Carlson told his viewers during his show that security surrounding electronic voting machines was a "real issue."
That guy is the poster boy for the entire insurrection. He was the one in the Indian head dress on the news, that they painted as some kind of terrorist.
In actual fact, now all the videos have been released, the protestors didn’t break in, they were literally let in by the police as they moved the barricades.
This is a very different scenario to the “terrifying insurrection” that they ran with at the time.
That's what hope does for you.And Bob is dead…
It might be his last but I respect him for standing up to bullies. Yesterday the UK basically prevented refugees or asylum seekers from every coming into this country. If that is not abhorrent and worth raising then I don't know what is.Will the BBC sack Lineker? Should they? Do we want our broadcasters to be gagged? It's always difficult when one agrees with the views expressed to see the way through to the principle of how far we are happy to allow the likes of Lineker 'freedom of speech'.
Specifically on the content, his language may be 'extreme' but he was responding to the bellicose language of the government. Perhaps what we need is some grown up discussion, but whether this is possible in the current climate is open to question.

No he shouldn't be sacked or stopped from giving his opinion on his private social media. Government ministers and spokesmen have described him as out of touch with the people. What bollocks that is, there are many dissenters from this bill. Will the BBC sack Lineker? Should they? Do we want our broadcasters to be gagged? Nah, this new policy is nothing short of inhumane. Scratch that it's not even a policy. It's nothing more than a desperate stunt to re-gain some popularity by showing all the anti-immigration voters that they are doing everything possible to lower immigration. Thankfully it won't get past the European Convention on Human Rights.I think it’s a good thing. Hopefully someone will finally tackle the child grooming gangs next as well. Although that always seems a bridge too far.
We will see if these new policies actually do anything, but It’s high time this country was tougher on immigration & crime. Maybe then British society can move back towards being a pleasant place to be. The open door policy of the last couple of decades has clearly failed and brought with it huge negative consequences.
Although I like Lineker, he is massively out of touch here. How he can sit in his ivory tower and spout this bollocks as the country is falling apart, I will never know. He should stay out of politics tbh.
Finally the conservatives are actually being conservative.
