I get your point, but Beyonce's playing a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Two weekends, yet even more concentrated than you're suggesting.
That takes concentration out of the equation (crowd sizes, possible "noise pollution" etc) . Would be interesting to see the actual rationale for 6 gigs max (in addition to ~30 Spurs games max per regular season) .
I assume because of increased : - traffic congestion/nuisance - noise "pollution" to any of residential/business/transport demographics. What the thresholds are, and the (scientific) basis for them, I know not.
Makes sense I suppose. I know when there is big matches in Glasgow at Hampden that it affects my mate who lives near by. Cup semi final weekend makes it awkward for him to get parked near his house with all the restrictions and people and N17 is even more congested than G42
It's also in part due to the time of day: most of our league matches are home and hosed by 5-6pm, with European and Season Killer Cup matches the only fixtures which guarantee a kickoff after 7pm - however concerts at the stadium start at 7pm, and have a far more consistent noise level than a match does (especially with Conte's tactics working so well at the moment...) and that's before other outliers such as pyrotechnics , all of which will be greatly appreciated by local residents
The Beyonce gigs seem to contradict what we would think is "common sense" though. I suspect that the reality is not wholly scientific, but contains an element of jobsworth Nazis etc.
The UK & Ireland have finalised their joint bid to host Euro 2028. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is on the list of 10 host stadiums if it's successful: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65245224 A variety of other grounds have been left out, as they're ****.
Will be interesting to see the statements from Celtic / Old Trafford / Taxpayers arena on what basis (capacity, transport links, amenities etc) they were not included in the bid proposal. On paper there would at least be a case IMHO for site rotation between them and the stadium chosen in their locale.
In the case of Parkhead it's quite simple: nobody would be so stupid as to pick one of Parkhead or Ibrox for a tournament Old Trafford, on the other hand, is probably due to UEFA insisting on stadiums with roofs that don't leak...
