Bloody hell man.
If it's not bad enough to lose a cup final, you get that mental looking boiler getting a grip of you after the whistle. Doesn't bear thinking about.

Utd played at 80%, probably because of Thursday, but still had that under control. And St Eddie showed his tactical brilliance by taking his best player of. Eh?

But anything that denies Saudi Arabia is good enough for me.

Same happened in 1974, a real Cinderella performance ...

... barely saw the ball <party>

I have a memory, that MAY not be accurate, that we played a 'Friendly' against N/C in 1974 after that Final.
I think it might have been Monty;s Testimonial Game and possibly Pre-Season.

Our fans were enjoying singing choruses of, 'Oh Where's The FA Cup'

(Anyone with a better memory than me for these sort of things, please feel free to put me right).

Now we just have to wait and see if their Fans have learned anything from previous mistakes, and this time refrain from wrecking their City Centre, and not assaulting any Police Horses.

There'll be trouble in London and in Newcastle ...

... it won't be reported locally because they're regarded as great supporters.

When they rioted after di Canio Look North said there'd been clashes between the two sets of supporters.

They only retracted that on the advice of SAFC and the police.

Sounds right , and if iirc maybe there was that fantastic song that Brian Moore composed for us —-
“ Keegan two
Heighway one
Liverpool three
Newcastle none
La la la la la la “

My lad has told me that there is a very large police presence in Newcastle City centre tonight.

On account of a game played nearly 300 bloody miles away!

Nowhere else. Absolutely nowhere else would that even be remotely considered necessary
