I've given much consideration to this for some time now and after an extensive overview of events I can categorically say it's down to me.

You may laugh, and I've got no doubt some of you will, however my position in the predo league and the fact that Ashley and co have been long standing admirers of my business model and use of existing resources would suggest that I'm correct.

I think Pardew has had the team glue together for maintaining this fantastic run. There was a split between players and the hierarchy of the club, and it was clear the players were frustrated. He sorted that out with the board.

Under Hughton, I always thought the players had more influence over than the man himself with picking the style of play and formation, etc. There were clear unnecessary statements made public to the board from the players. (Enrique, Barton, Nolan...)
Pardew did the right thing by shipping these players out! The players disagreed with our transfer policy, and overall operations of running the club. How many of you disagree with it now, after 10 games in and 3rd in the league?

Pardew deserves the majority of praise. He has dealt with the wedge between the fans / players / board superbly and the wound is healing, we are a stable club on the field and becoming stable financially.

After many mistakes, I think Ashley has the right set-up in place, gradually showing the business plan will begin to pay dividends sooner rather than later, as we are already seeing it pay off on the pitch.

I do think as a whole, the success we've had so far is a joint contribution from Pardew, Ashley, Llambias and the players.

The future looks bright, the future looks black n' white! <laugh>

This

I think that after making some horrendous mistakes, Ashley has now got a decent management structure in place. Even Llambias seems to be learning (Players bonuses situation sorted out eventually, laying on a jet for the reserves, turning up for the players meal and now trying to sort out our January transfers early, after this summer's cock-up over strikers).
Pardew has got a good coaching team and scouting team around him, and the lads on the pitch are now HIS team.

So I suppose that as we blamed Ashley for all the bad things that happened a few years ago, (and rightly so) he should take a lot of the credit for getting the right people in who have got us to our current position.

Yep both going to lose on the same Saturday I'm afraid <laugh>. So it will be my fault when we lost at Man City.

I think that Pardew deserves a bit more credit ... he sorted out our defence which has enabled us to pick up points even when we weren't playing particularly well. Also he deserves credit for sticking with players like Obertan and Raylor, even though they weren't performing well ...

How dare you!!!!...I've never been so insulted. I think you'll find that by the time we play Man City the huge baldhead brain will have evaluated any injuries we may have and put out a team that will get a result.

As for getting a result against the likes of you, it'll be like shelling peas.....<laugh>

I also think I'll get an extra point for first goal scorer and a further bonus point for humility.

Don't take this the wrong way but I never undertand why everyone is quick to praise the manager as an individual when the squad is doing well and visa versa when they not. It has to be said the Pardew is leading a good management team and as all the players keep saying, they ''all know what their jobs are''.

It's all down to the club as a whole from the owner, through the board to the management team down to the players and fans. We all can see the light at the end of the tunnel that was being aimed for and even if some couldn't see it, everyone seems to be on board with this movement.

This must be the first time in a long time that the owner all the way through to the fans share exactly the same vision and when there's this many people going in the same direction, it can only be a good thing.

Hey everyone!

I think this is probably my first post since moving from the old 606 <badger><badger><badger> !

I was just wondering who people think should take the most credit for our winning run, as the next match could very well be the end of it (short of an incredible performance). Ashley/Lambiarse, Pardew, Carr or the squad as a whole?

Me.

Everyone at the club TBH.

Well, as the real quote ends Rich Man, Poor Man, Beggar Man, Theif, it'd probably be

Ashley, Hughton, Allardyce, Ranger

Isn't it obvious?

Our unbeaten league run stretches back to the end of last season, just when the main man, star of the show, the lad in all of our hearts, Sammy Ameobi forced his way into the first team picture.

We've not lost since.

I've said it before, he's the anti-Perch.

Perch stands up, we concede. Sammy comes on, we score.

I don't mean to sound disrespectful however, I'd have an option for the entire list collectively.

Haha, never thought of that before :p

I don't like the cut of your jib, in fact I'm going to change my predictions to give you an even bigger thrashing, you see if I don't.

I'd purposely slipped a couple of results in there just to take it easy on you, but now you've really irked my sense of fairness you're about to incur the wroth of my footballing punditry excellence, and woe betide you.

May the Lord have mercy on your soul.

Its everything. The players the board and the boss, scouts.

But its also other things:

1.) The fans have to get a mention. Some of the crap we put up with over the years and we still go back. We support our team and will do through thick and thin.
2.) Coaches - Keeping our players fit. We have had fewer injuries this season than previous seasons. The tactics implemented by Pardew to the players have to be instructed by the coaches. Its clear we have tactics for different situations.
3.) Lady luck - We have had some luck in some of the games and this helps a lot. In previous seasons we have had it the other way.
4.) The media - Constantly slagging us and saying we will lose is a great motivator for the players and can/should be a great tool used by Pardew.
