Hey everyone!

I think this is probably my first post since moving from the old 606 <badger><badger><badger> !

I was just wondering who people think should take the most credit for our winning run, as the next match could very well be the end of it (short of an incredible performance). Ashley/Lambiarse, Pardew, Carr or the squad as a whole?

Its joint between the squad and Pardew, Pardew has done a wonderful job this season that if we're honest Hughton probably couldn't have.

But the effort and commitment from the players this season has been the best I've seen in years from a Newcastle squad...I voted for Hughton though because this mentality probably stems from the man himself and how he coaches the players.

Special mention to Graham Carr though, hes found us some absolute bargains!

Everyone, but Pardew in particular. The squad are the ones performing, Carr is the one who finds our gems and Ashley/Llambias are the ones sanctioning the deals but Pardew is significantly involved with all three, balancing a difficult owner with a small squad and fans like us.

Agree with that, and what a difference it's made.

I did consider putting Hughton as a cheeky fifth option actually. Yeah I think Carr, although probably not the MOST responsible, is definitely a bit of an unsung hero

If we continue doing things shrewdly the way we have been then there's no reason the europa league cant be a possibility in the near future.

Passports out lads!

Been waiting for an excuse to use that picture <laugh>

I hope you didn't tell the poor kid he was on his way to Europe.

I think Pardew has had the team glue together for maintaining this fantastic run. There was a split between players and the hierarchy of the club, and it was clear the players were frustrated. He sorted that out with the board.

Under Hughton, I always thought the players had more influence over than the man himself with picking the style of play and formation, etc. There were clear unnecessary statements made public to the board from the players. (Enrique, Barton, Nolan...)
Pardew did the right thing by shipping these players out! The players disagreed with our transfer policy, and overall operations of running the club. How many of you disagree with it now, after 10 games in and 3rd in the league?

Pardew deserves the majority of praise. He has dealt with the wedge between the fans / players / board superbly and the wound is healing, we are a stable club on the field and becoming stable financially.

After many mistakes, I think Ashley has the right set-up in place, gradually showing the business plan will begin to pay dividends sooner rather than later, as we are already seeing it pay off on the pitch.

I do think as a whole, the success we've had so far is a joint contribution from Pardew, Ashley, Llambias and the players.

The future looks bright, the future looks black n' white! <laugh>
