Pope had tried the same trick a couple of minutes earlier but got away with that one
it was at the other end so couldn't see exactly what had happened

I blame the team as a whole. Pope wasn't at fault for the two goals.

Game was set up perfectly for him today. Can play fully on the counter run up the field tske on one or two players but then do absolutely nothing with the ball as usual, but because only had 10 men it’s good play and forgiven a bit more than if it was against 11.

If that was 11v11 all game, he wouldn’t have made any more of an impact and would have continued to break and take on a couple players then knock the ball out of play or run into a crowd ans go backwards.

Totally agree, Anthony Taylor what a ****.

Books Fabinho for a nothing tackle even after the whistle had gone and a free kick already given.

Didn’t make longstaff go off for concussion protocols after stopping play with Newcastle penned into their own penalty area and then giving a nice easy free ball out.

Giving a free kick against Nunez for being tackled by trippier.

Didnt book burn for sliding through the back of Salah and somehow even managed to only give a throw not a foul.

He played well looking the fittest I've ever seen him too... did a full 90 always a threat.

a threat for what though? It wasn’t a threat that he’d score.

He gets you up the pitch when you’re looking to counter and that was perfect when was 10v11.

Not once when he gets the ball was I concerned he’d actually come close to scoring though. All show and zero end product.

He also only gave you another 3 minutes when he could've played 9.

All that would have happened would Milner would have made another 3 tackles and Jota missed another 2 sitters though

Still don’t see us getting top 4. If, we can go on and win next 2 prem games, make it 4 on the bounce I’ll get my hopes up though.

At least looking more positive but been there and winning games then **** up the next week. Still getting cut through at times.

should have changed it to red then, if it was off the ball and the game had stopped -

    He gave a goal kick

Didn't book Milner for some of his lunges

didn't book Henderson for the worst crime of all -- being a Makem <laugh>

According to biscan it's easier to play vs an extra man anyway.

If they got a player sent off Milner might have turned into a good player.

He had a good game mate ... I know you've sunk your teeth in and I find him frustrating but he looks much fitter to me and he passed at right time and dribbled at right moments.

He's earned his start at Wembley tonight
