here's an example of police stupidity in usaland. this one takes special stupid and a special police car driver. they stopped this woman for a possible road rage related incident, handcuffed her, put her in the back of the police car while they searched her car. the police car, in an unusual demonstration of common sense and intelligence, was parked across a railway track. with inevitable consequence that even the most stupid of house bricks would have anticipated. i suspect a vast compensation package will happen. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-us-canada-63083486
Just a few things wrong with the locomotive if its being included in "Blitz". Its in BR livery with a BR post-nationalisation number. BR came into being in 1948. It is a London, Midland and Scottish Railway 5MT loco (often called "Black 5s" as they were painted in black livery). The LMSR didn't run to Hull and that particular example was built in 1945. I don't think its anything to do with the filming, but a special train that just happened to be scheduled concurrently. [EDIT: although Blitz is filming in Hull, its set in London.]
a friend of mine was in the station a few times this week and tells me the loco has british rail on one side but southern on the other side. i'm guessing the film isn't necessarily meant to be in hull but that they're pretending our buildings, etc, are wherever the thing is really set at.
At about 1 minute in, is the police officer leaping out of the way of the train carrying an assault rifle? For a traffic stop, it seems a tad over the top.
I’ve been to the USA a lot, mainly to Florida, and the only time I’ve seen a cop draw his gun, was on a motorist who failed to stop when pulling out of a Wal Mart at the stop sign, sirens on, shouting to exit the car, old white bloke with a Panama hat gets out and the cop cuffed him. I didn’t hang around but thought it must have been more in it than failing to stop at a sign, it’s like the cops are **** scared they will get shot, so go over the top for the slightest thing. Oh and we went to a mall, and there was an event at the Tiffany shop, and there was an armed cop on the door, you can pay to hire them privately over there, overtime rates I expect.
Just **** the ****ing **** off. And then when you've ****ed the ****ing **** off, then **** the ****ing **** off a little bit ****ing further. https://amp.theguardian.com/books/2...rewritten-to-remove-language-deemed-offensive
