In the 14.05 Southwell, Ardmayle is 3lb clear top rated but has the "X" indicating poor jumper. However, apart from his debut, he has never fallen. He was pulled up twice in 2021 prior to wind surgery. His last 3 runs have resulted in a win (Ardmayle back over fences, perhaps benefited from a first-time tongue strap and finally took advantage of his tumble down the handicap, a rare good round of jumping coming in handy; disputed lead, jumped soundly, led 3 out, stayed on; he'll obviously remain potentially well treated), a 2nd (Ardmayle ran creditably, just bumping into an unexposed one half his age; made running, headed approaching 3 out (mistake there), already firmly second best when not fluent last 2) and a 4th (Ardmayle wasn't disgraced after 8 months off; prominent, not quicken 2 out.). C&D winner. Interesting change of jockey too. Looks like Southwell is his favourite course. Showing at 10/1.

Not suggesting he's a good ew bet but it does look interesting
Great shout

Ostilio at 40s ew in the 630 led most of the way over 8f here with Hornby in the plate . McEntee rebooks Hornby for this drop back in trip i can see the logic the step up to a class 5 (from 6 lto) should not be a problem as ostilio has in the past won class 2s and also a listed event . Another swinging point is 4 places on offer and bog.

I see G. Elliott is in a bit of bother again.
Could someone explain how could he be, when he was banned at the time.
If this post is meant for another thread, I apologise.
