Yea
Really surprised at just how poor Wales were. Ireland didn’t have to hit 3rd gear. WG has his hands full but wales will improve. Ireland’s scrum always an area of concern.

looking forward to the next game now.
That’s a massive one, hope the French bring their A game, will make it a cracking match.

5-7. Odd game. England shirts look like they are all bleeding from a stomach wound.

5th and 7th ranked teams in the world, clear water between them and the four above them. Scots winger, who is the size of a bus, scores a great looking try, but five English players missed tackles.

England's tackling is quite frankly pathetic. That's twice now that they've let the South African player run through them.

Very entertaining Calcutta Cup match, which I would describe in footballing terms as a good game between two of the better sides in the EFL Championship.
My observations were that England under Borthwick looked better in attack, running some excellent lines. But, England were poor at the breakdown and even worse in defence, missing tackle after tackle.
I thought there looked a forward pass in the build
up to Scotland's last try.
Smith is an excellent player, but again, looks a bit of a show pony at times.
Finally, I can never understand this tactic, which England have employed for years, of constantly kicking possession back to the opposition.
England have zero chance of getting anywhere in the WC.

It’ll be nice playing the Irish and French as massive underdogs. As Col says, two decent second level teams, very competitive but lacking accuracy.

Entertaining game, well done Scotland.

CB needs time. He’ll only have had a handful of sessions with the players. He has 8-9 months to get them right. England on the better side of the WC draw. Early days

Disappointing performance from England, we seem to be in a transition at present, the game was a curates egg from our point of view, good in places and awful in others. Scotland moved the ball well and scored a couple of worldies assisted by our rubbish tackling, they're getting to enjoy Twickers too much. I'd still fancy us to finish above them at the death...

Scotland did move the ball well, which makes it even more baffling that we continued to kick the ball back to them.
